I bought a property 4 years ago just to be able to have my horses in my backyard! Got very lucky when market was low and found a great place.
I started with 3 when I moved in and now have 6!!!...
So every year there is a 70 day test?
One in Northern California and one at silver creek?
Just curious about these tests
Is there an outline of what they are asked to do during that period...
Man, I am pooped!!!
Today was my 1 day off this week, and I thought, hmm, I will put all the horses out on the grass.
Put them out, mom baby and retiree in one pasture and 3 boys on the other....
Anyone have an email or associate email for this trainer?
I am trying to find my mares full sister and can not seem to get a hold of anyone with information,
Said owner was Stephen Zimmerman...
Roc USA hands down
I have a small tb mare and have 2 Roc USA colts.
They jump great, are very brave and move well enough that they can excel in the dressage portions of eventing.
Crib collars don't solve the problem. Any cribbed can crib with a collar.
Better bet is to try and figure out why he cribs and try to eliminate areas in stall he can crib from.
I have had 4 colts so far out of my mare.
First one is 6 and he is my show horse. I bred her back to same stallion and hemis coming 2 this year and I love him.
I also bred her to a pony so I...
Can anyone give me their opinions on this guy?
Any offspring pictures?
Would like some extra info on him.
My mare had her fourth bay colt in a row in the wee morning Wednesday!
Colt is by Ralando and is all legs! Very friendly. Excited to see him unfold.39510
Oh and forgot to mention that owning a farm is really hard work!!!!
There are times I get really frustrated and really tired and its tough!
But when I can look out my window and see these...
I am 33 and am only a tad further along then you!!
About 4 years ago I had an ok job with great benefits and thought it would be a good time to look for a house since the market was so...
I showed in the junior hunters in the 90's. I had a big chestnut tb and we did pretty well. We were 5th in the nation maybe in 1996?
That being said, same horse now would probably not do as well...
Just what I was thinking! I have a great 6 year old. If he was in training with a BNT and showing he would be so much further along! He gets 3 shows a year out of me. ;(
Just like the same horse would be more expensive coming from Scott Stewart then from a lesser known trainer, the more hotshot you want to be the more money it will cost.
I will never forget when I...
All correspondence has been through email. Both the one on her website and also the email she sent with the answer that she would honor the free picture still.
So after emailing her...
I am sure I will get some good pictures this year.
It's just frustrating.
She is the only photographer at the young horse championships so if I want pictures when they are babies, it's my only...
What's weird is that she answered me back the first time and then I haven't heard from her.
I have tried calling. No answer and voice mail is full.
She is based in California.
I usually only go there once a year for a show. I live in Arizona.
Yes she still takes pictures at shows as far as I know.
There is a place called shoppers in chandler az.
I go there to get feed and other supplies.
What are you looking for?
So a couple years ago I had ordered a picture for a friend that had helped me raise the horse.
I ordered it in early November and they sent the wrong photo and then by the time it was fixed it was...
I was on the other side and sold my barely broke 4 year old to someone across the country who only saw a video. He got him and decided he didn't like him. He wasn't lame, just green and hadn't...
Fully grooming is at a new level in California. I went to a summer show there last year and showed in the A A hunters with my very green 5 year old.
While I was waiting for the class to start ( I...
Oh yeah, about the part care.
Most trainers refuse to do this. See I work weird hours and have tried before to clean my own stalls and tack up/groom/bath my horse, but it doesn't matter. Unless...
Well now the shows around here charge a $50 haul in fee per day. So if you haul in for 3 days back and forth ( show is 40 miles from my house). It's worth it to just stay andoaynfor the stall. But...
