I'm quickly approaching 50, and this is the first year I am starting to feel a few aches and pains and a decline in my physical strength and speed as a runner. I'm not going to let myself become a...
Fox Village is the software many use.
I'm a traditionalist and wear white gloves. I don't see anything wrong with black gloves, but am curious if the judge would focus on them to see if in fact the rider was trying to camouflage busy...
I ride and show at the open and breed shows a 15 hand Arabian. Successfully earned USDF Performance Certificates at training, first and second on him. Next goal bronze medal
Well Doh! Hasbo!
Some of the comments on Play-Doh's FB page are hilarious!
My new favorites are the combo bandages by Professional's Choice.
I have both boarded at the training barn or hauled in. I think in your situation since you are happy with the facility your horse is at I would be inclined to haul out. For me, I just can't justify...
It's an interesting question. I have an Arabian and was drawn to the breed because they tend to be in tune with their humans. But, I'm also a nurturing/pampering type of owner so have I created...
To Honeylips and your fabulous ponies:
“The thermometer of success is merely the jealousy of the malcontents.”
Best purchase I ever made (aside from my horse) was my new 4 Star..it is honestly so well thought out and crafted...it will last me a lifetime!
Congrats Melissa...your ponies are hands down the finest I have ever seen. You have an incredible eye for talent and I hope more follow your lead.
Renegades are hands down the best fitting boots for the horse and easiest for the owner to take off and on.
I live in the desert hence lots of cactus, prickly bushes, and rattle snakes. I have seen the damage an unplanned for run in with a cactus can do to a horses tendons. Therefore, I use a hard shell...
DeNiro's fit me perfectly off the rack...tapered ankle is the key for my scrawny legs. But, I will say they definitely don't wear like the Konigs or Cavallos's I have had. After a few years riding...
I don't feel like the loss of the Olympics would crush our sport, there are other prestigious competitions such as WEG and World Cup. But I do feel like it would be a big loss for the albeit small...
Dried leaves!!!! My Mr. Bombproof literally freaked out on a trail ride...as in walking on hot coals when he set foot on dried leaves crunching under foot. We live in the desert SW and leaves are...
I'm booked at the Venetian. I don't think the "deals" offered at the sponsor hotels are that great. I'm just going to cab it to the venue.
That the relationship I have with my horse trumps everything! :). The dressage journey would be meaningless to me without the strong partnership I have with my horse.
For 15k he would be too much of a risk for me personally.
There are 7 shows at the only show grounds I care to drive to which is 20 minutes away from me...I compete in dressage at breed shows so that adds to the number.
No Thrush powder is my current go to treatment.
Agree Roma pads are a good fit...my personal favorite is the Toklat Classic III pads.
They are really durable and hold their shape wash after wash.
My horses Arabs mane is long, and the bridle path is 1" or so. I show him in dressage with a running braid.
Boots are a simple solution to rocky terrain....Renegades are fantastic.
I live in AZ and there is indeed some "butting of heads" or in actuality egos when it comes to what the vet prescribes and what the farrier thinks is correct. There are as many bad farriers here as...
