You still show tack and feed rooms. Is there a reason for putting these in? They are wasted space in a show facility. There are only large doors. This will make the barn very cold in the winter. ...
Thrush is not a life threatening issue. It is a minor infection which can become more serious if left untreated.
What experts do they have advising about the horse? NYCLASS maybe?
Washrooms with showers for the exhibitors. A concession/display area for vendors. An area for somebody to run a food booth.
More stalls. A show facility is very different than a boarding barn.
I would not worry about tack lockers as people want the tack near their horses so will use a tack stall. Same goes for feed...
Ok. I understand what you are saying now. I believe it is naïve to think people will not sell horses but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think there are many people who will sell horses...
I still do not understand how a free euth clinic would put a kill buyer out of business. Please explain.
I realise it does happen. My question is regards to the "fact" that there are more horses abandoned by trucking companies than by owners. If you are basing your statement on the myths espoused by...
Since I do not take horses to Mexico I have no idea where the trucking companies take horses rejected at the border. Just because they were rejected does not mean they were abandoned.
I took this to mean you thought the euth clinics would not put the kill buyer the of business. Which is it?
You claimed that free euth clinics would put the kill buyers out of business. I am trying to understand how.
So your statement about euth clinics putting them out of business was just a misdirection?
Of course they do no want to pay a higher price. Reduced supply means they will have to pay a higher price whether they want to or not. At some point the higher price will affect demand. Basic...
It may decrease the number of horses going to auction but this will only increase the price they need to pay to buy horses. Not everybody sees the need to euthanize a horse rather than...
If you would like to start a fund to do this, please do so. Voluntary donations could help. There are many "rescues" out there doing something similar. Not everybody believes the kill buyers are...
Please provide proof of your accusations.
The latest term for these kind of actions is cyber-bullying.
Usually the rescue retains ownership of the horse which makes it difficult to fight. It depends on exactly what is in the contract. If you are concerned then hire a lawyer.
I dislike the trend at many club and schooling shows of using a square dressage pad in Hunter classes. Just don't get it. Especially the colored ones.
There was a 52 horse clyde hitch in Napean On. about 10 to 12 years ago. They were the record holders at that time. Not sure about the current record.
At least the money goes to a good cause, win or lose.
Horses are being given away. You do not need five bucks to get a "living breathing animal they have no clue what to do with or how to take care of".
The topic is banning bute to allow slaughter. As Bluey has stated just more RARA propaganda. I have never said anything about not being able to have my horses. Do not put words in my mouth.
I am a horse owner who wants to maintain the freedom to use my property as I see fit within the law. I also do not believe in personal attacks so do not use or respond to them.
My mistake. What is your view on the RARA drive to ban slaughter?
Does this post not represent your view?
