When Roger Young was still based in New York, there was a time when many of his horses showed in mud knots. So everyone else in the area followed suit. Even when the shows were held indoors.
Not according to the results page. Her time without the rail was 64.55. The other two with their faults converted were 66+ and 68+ respectively.
Obviously it's because of the crest release.
And if you like the lovely post by ctab, check out this classic thread. Some amazing artwork!
Yes, but my original comment was that without Beezie's rail, she would have been third, if the others finished the same. The two you mentioned had faster times than Beezie, but each of them had a...
Didn't they each have a rail?
Too bad about the rail for Beezie. She would have been third without it.
That was some good prize money for the first round!
Funny to see the name Elizabeth Madden. Who??
I remember reading that. And scratching my head over it. It's hard enough to find the right horse without eliminating any based on hair color.
Plus it would be easy enough to dye the rider's hair...
I'd say we're terribly great. ;)
It's live (and free) on the FEI YouTube channel:
That may be. But an owner would need to find a capable rider that is likely to go to WEG, and does not already have a mount or other owners who would mind getting bumped down a slot in line.
I saw that yesterday. It seems like an odd subject for an article in that publication.
^ That worked- thanks!!
No offense, but what kind of tester runs out of vials? And still tries to test a horse without them?
On the subject of advance warning, I remember a vet telling me that when vets are...
Could someone please post a link to the qualifying lists? I keep getting an error message.
How is that system any less random than a different approach?
I can't imagine it would take much less than an hour for each horse, by the time they select it, accompany it back to the barn or a...
I had a tester wait in a pony's stall once for about two hours , after I told her she should wait outside, since the pony would not go with her inside the stall. Sure enough, as soon as she gave up...
Regarding hotels around there, I think the hotel closest to Fence is the one where the previous owner had a no dog policy with a hefty fine. The hotel staff would wait until everyone...
If you don't have a local tack shop, Smartpak does free shipping on orders over $75, and free returns on sized items, in case you need more than one shot to get the right size.
I don't know their...
I had a good experience at this place earlier this week for the second time. Less than ten minutes off the interstate, big, airy, solid stalls, plenty of new bedding, fresh water in clean buckets....
Just FYI, under USEF rules, an amateur may also judge horse shows. That specific activity does not affect amateur status.
Was it possible to try the horses before bidding on them?
That is a lot of money for a horse that you don't get to sit on first. No matter how nice the horse is.
To me, it indicates a lack on the rider's part in the steering/direction department. If it happens at one jump for one stride, you might be able to get away with it and still do well,...
Does anyone know where to find the full results?
The Stadium Jumping site does not seem to work on my phone. (#FirstWorldProblems)
There are quite a few people here to watch! I was pleasantly surprised. :)
