When and if you mare seems in distress. :) Mares routinely go over 340 days and there's nothing to worry about. Be strong!
-
Best wishes for the mare :(
-
Ditto what has been said already, plus, you don't exactly want to teach your foal to go under fences... ;)
-
I haven't bred a stallion yet, but it seems to me that the stallion-prospect ones don't lead to questionning whether they are "it" or not. They should stand out, IMO, no?

In the end, it doesn't hurt to ask. Worst case scenario, the agent will say no. ;)

Whole roasted soybeans if you can get them...
-
I guess I will see then. Worst case scenario, we'll wait until that foal is weaned...
-
I think you need to define what your mean by jumping ability in a dressage stallion...?

Where's the clapping icon? Very well said.
-
Phew. Well thanks for the good stories.
So it sounds like I could give my girl, my wallet and my sanity a year off and not run into a plethora of issues next year trying to get her in...

Well typically, women still nursing a child without ovulate... ;) But that was a theory, and of course, it would have been applicable to women million of years ago. Hardly comparable to today's...

Yes, but actually, anthropologist found that women were made to have babies every 3-4 years (being on top of the food chain and needing a certain supply of food to reproduce). Our babies and children...

362 days. And I'm wishing you a filly!

Being open is an evolutionary anomaly for a mare, IMO.
They were made to be in foal... Each year, barring any health or fertility issues.

I'm tired, sick with a cold (again!) and generally fed up with struggling with work, family and horses.
I am so tired that the thought of re-breeding my mare this year is causing more stress than...

So far, I'd say yes.
Two foals only so far with me, but both times, roughly 333 days and around 8-9 pm.
But my sample is too limited to mean anything... ;)

Gosh. I hope that's not the case here!
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt... I'll take another healthy foal please thankyouverymuch.
Glad to read yours are doing well though!

Why are you so rude? It was totally uncalled for!
The previous posters have been nice enough to ask for a better picture, which is all needed to be done.
Sheesh.
I don't see anything glaring...

Interesting Tasker. I have noticed the same thing in my relatively small sample n=9. Particularly, the fillies, whom I still both own, from the above mare have her head, mostly. Some variation in the...

That's exactly what I do as well.

My mare is a full TB and has what I call a "noble" head. I don't mind it all. I do like the modern...

I am pretty sure I saw an ad for him...
He'll breed now for sure.

It depends on your goal.
If you are in it for sales purposes, it might not be worth it in itself, especially if you can't show and win in the big shows.
If you are in it for the experience,...
