When I first got my new horse, he acted similarly when being groomed.
I backed off and did minimal grooming with a sheepskin mitt just where necessary.
Now, he enjoys it.
I think it was a little...
Very cool! And my dog really enjoyed it too.
Where is the bored, inattentive owner loosely holding the end of the lead rope? No muddy legs? No flies that need immediate removal or the horse will DIE?
My husband has had this twice.
The first time he was literally pacing in the driveway at midnight growling.
The only thing that helped was going to the ER and getting massive amounts of medication.
I sent you a PM
Also with a farrier...horse trimmed in exchange for a kid's bike. :D
Neighbor lady takes manure and leaves me tomatoes. I think I am the big winner there!!
Instead, I use these hangers:...
Love!!! Thank you/curse you for the introduction.
He does get those accommodations for every day classwork.
Also, if the students aren't the ones being evaluated, then why does a result below a certain mark mean he is retained in third grade for...
He does have an IEP but the CC testing does not allow for any of the accommodations that we have identified as being helpful for him. They are specifically NOT allowed to have more time, a quiet...
Speaking as a parent of a child who just finished 3rd grade...

I like to start mine off with Buckeye Gro N Win.
If they need more calories, I add Buckeye Ultimate Finish.
If they need more than that, then I switch to a pelleted feed.
OMG I LOVED the peanut brittle. When the grocery store put the little discontinued flag in front of it, I bought the rest of their stock.
My favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate almond and...
You have all been so helpful!
Today's ride I tried a half halt with a bump of the legs and a slow lift of the reins and shazam - collection! :)
We had a nice jog going.
Then I found that if I...
His owner was a fledgling trainer, so he was trained methodically and kept by her for 10 years. She originally was working towards making him a barrel horse but he did not have the drive for it, so...
I am riding with one hand on the reins...until we start getting too quick, and then I revert to two hands and take up more slack and more slack until reminds me "WTF human! Please let go of my head!"...
Nothing I am doing requires anything other than what he wants and what I want, so I will dig through my box o' bits and see what snaffles I have that he night like.
Oh - I recognize that - a half halt! ;)
I sold my Dressage horse and bought a wonderful small QH.
We are having a blast trail riding and plan to do all sorts of other fun things like team sorting and obstacle courses.
My problem is...
I think most buyers in your horse's price range will skip the PPE.
When I sold my horse, I had a list of three area vets that I did not use but would trust to do a PPE and gave those to the...
My new QH gelding's name is Dun Four At A Time
I don't. Yet you're confidently asserting that I do.
[LOL - sorry, I saw that in a comic and have been dying to whip it out!]
Well, she was just evaluating what she saw on that day. I don't blame her. :)
I have a most excellent update for you.
I was crushed after Thursday's failed vetting. I liked the horse and I didn't want to screw over the seller if she was honest.
I sulked for the next 24...
Paid in cash.
I sent her a message and she said to just return him.
