I am a H/J rider going at it alone in the Watertown area, and I've been to most barns in Jefferson County to at least visit. I will PM you.
Be prepared for barns that do NOT turn out in the...
I just read the new rule, and thankfully it doesn't apply to under saddle classes:
Entries for non-under saddle classes in amateur sections at hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions, must be...
That is from January of 2012...a year ago. Darst's ruling was from PF in August of 2011, five months before the ruling. December 2012 and Jan 2013 aren't up yet.
Mind your own business. :)
There used to be an off-season, but horse showing has turned into hockey, the sport that never ends.
Beach Ball (I don't know why this one popped in my head LOL)
Or you could just call him Tigger. :)
That's more than I can say for other "pros" who have had that fit while still in the ring and taken it out on the horse.
Scott pulled up very hard in that in and out, mostly off the left rein if I...
I was so happy to watch the live feed today and find no commentating (I'd only watched NBC's broadcasts so far). I can't stand MTS as a commentator, and her comment today about the broken rein and...
Ohhhh wow he is a looker. Good luck I hope he passes the PPE!
This is by far the funniest thing I've read in awhile
Her leg and those beautiful brown field boots upon them. Screw the hair!
I was able to pull results from an old lease - I had her USEF number, which I pulled off of the USEF website. She is deceased, but she was lifetime registered and I knew the owner so her number was...
I did this over the winter and was able to get all records for one horse and records for one horse as early as 1998 (though 98-99 weren't totally accurate), although I started showing him in 1992. ...

I'm also in the camp who thinks you should wear the rust breeches.
I still wear my custom full chaps from 1997 - mostly in the winter with long johns, jeans, and winter paddock boots to stay toasty warm - I still love my full chaps!
My Childeric saddle has no...
Godspeed, Amy. Such a tragedy :(
I don't remember this, but apparently Amy used to come school her horses at the farm I boarded at as a kid - all of us pre and mid teen Hunter kids were...
This is what I remember from when I worked at a tack store in the early 2000's, but I'd email them or contact a tack store that currently sells them to double check:

I'm tempted...never had the Monacos but my old trusty...
Susie Hutchison and Woodstock had a similar setup.
I will add a second vote for these sheets. They are durable, fit well, relatively inexpensive, easy to wash, and work much better than cotton sheets to keep stains from creeping through IMHO.
I'm in an area void of any H/J barns for about a 100 mile radius, but where I currently ride, they haven't been out in the pastures since October. This is the mildest, most snow-free winter we've...
You will find that this area is dominated by 4H/local/breed show/lesson barns/backyard riders. You will be hard pressed to find somewhere that isn't full of Western riders and horses that may...
