Better a month too soon than a day too late....
Best of luck.
I have a 36 YO pony with back teeth which are missing or at gum level. He cannot eat hay so I give him generous amounts of hay pellets. No need to soak long. They turn to a mash pretty quickly.
My 34 YO gelding suffered an apparent stroke last Thursday. I found him in the field that evening, walking in circles. He had been unable to get to the barn or shade and was terribly dehydrated. I...
I've been to the sales a couple of times in Raleigh. Not worth the gas to get there.
Another happy Greenguard user. Very durable and lightweight. I've been thrilled with it this summer.
It makes my brain hurt to think about an algebraic equation. Sorry - I'm no help...
My vet recommended the magnesium supplement from Southern States that is designed as a cattle feed additive but can also be fed to horses. A 50 lb bag was roughly $25 and has lasted a year. I feed...
How much do you feed?
Cross fingers - my Terrains don't cause any additional pain. I hope you find some boots to suit you, Toller.
Oh my gosh, Laurierace!! I can't even imagine.
Best of luck with your recovery.
I like the blocker tie ring but it is WAY overpriced. Does anyone know of a similar tie "contraption" at a more reasonable cost?
I feed one tablespoon of Spirulina each day for maintenance. I increase to 2 tablespoons per day if she has a flare up.
Some horses don't love the taste, so you may have to slowly introduce the...
I feed spirulina year round to my COPD mare.
Best of luck.
I had the labral repair and while it helped a bit, it never totally relieved my pain. And from my best point at about 6 months post op, my pain level steadily increased until I had no choice but go...
I agree, on the phone, customer service is tops. However, I wish they'd remove the icon for online chat. It is NEVER available.
OP - let us know which pair you like best. I'm always in the market for something new and improved. ;-)
I rode in my Big Horn western saddle until the beginning of my 8th month. I had no problems at all. Looking back, I should have probably switched to an english saddle. I have to say though,...
I like these tights. Pockets on each side of the leg. My big Samsung Galaxy phone fits in the pockets.
I have a 34 year old gelding with advanced arthritis. Per my vet's instructions, I give my oldster 1 gram of bute per day to ease his stiffness.
Yes - the bute could be harmful long term. ...
Entering the creek from an angle is an excellent idea. This tactic greatly reduces the impulse to launch across.
Best of luck.
Have you tried a different style of muzzle?? - for example, greenguard is much different than best friend, etc. She may acclimate better with a different muzzle.
As a previous poster mentioned, have you discussed allergy shots with your vet? That might be your best alternative.
I have a 34 YO who does just fine stepping over his threshold.
I have a Wintec 2000 AP saddle and I love it. Previously, I had always ridden in western saddles.
I will have to say, though, that I've never ridden in other english saddles, so I cannot compare...
Looks intriguing....but I'd never be able to get in or out of that bra. YIKES!
