That's interesting never have had a horse come in from pasture with that. If i do i'll know not to panick, and call vet thinking my horse has some horrible dease.
What is grass glands?? i'v never have heard of that before.
Your horse is just fine at the weight he's at, if you can just see ribs when he moves. Not healthy to have them fat, or to over feed to make them look more mature.
I looked it up on purina's website it 10% starch 6% sugars.
I feed ProAdd ultimate palatability is good horses like it, and will eat it with nothing else added to it. Winter coats have almost shed out now and summer coats don't have much shine to them.
Don't think 30 to 45 minutes of work a day is moderate work..more like light work.Could probably feed just an RB with good quality free feed hay.
