Goshen, north of Louisville. Eventing! Very pricey area, if you are looking to buy, though.
Can someone give me a cheat sheet on how to "check credentials" on a poster? Do you PM them and ask, assuming that if they won't provide creds the poster is a faker?
Do you have a lot of experience in long-haul trailering?
If not, I would strongly recommend you let the horses go commercial. You can use your trailer to haul whatever was going to go into the...
Font too small for these tired old eyes and the screens are so cluttered.
A big thumbs down from me.
Incorrect! It was ME she called "my little anchovy." mp has saved the quote, and I get a little sentimental every time I read it.
And this is a dog that he was getting along with very well up to this point, correct?
What does the foxhound do if you try and correct him? Does he "drop it" and back away a step,...
Did any of you read the book? Pretty interesting what this couple went through to help their profoundly autistic son.
It was a horse that finally helped them connect. Very moving story.
All Lippitts are "old style" but not all "old style" are Lippitts. Lambert, Brunk, Government, etc can all be "old style" horses. Lippitt's have not cornered the market on Morgan typle.
If this pony is as advertised - a Morgan/Welsh cross - then it takes some serious neglect to have it end up looking like this. Those are two proven "air fern" breeds that can exist on poor pasture...
And I totally agree with you there.
The vast majority of TB's in this country are sold through the auction houses.
This behooves the breeders to breed what is marketable.
LOVE that they can personalize them. And the price is great! I'm thinking one of these would be a great gift for your favorite horse person.
Buy yourself a healthy amount of cotton rope in the diameter you prefer.
Buy the hardware you prefer from a hardware store or an equine specialty shop.
Go here and learn how to make the knots....
Thinking of you, your family, and the circle of Calvin's friends today, Tamara.
I'll tell you what's going on. The era of breeding for longevity is OVER. As soon as a colt hits a dinger he's tagged for the breeding shed and babied along so he doesn't get hurt, or, as you...
Tamara, I was so shocked to hear this news. I'm so sorry for this tragic loss. I can't even find the words... hugs to you all.
My theory is they are mainly used to keep ear plugs in place.
Oh, this is TOO rich.
Bayou, I remember VERY clearly you having had your backside handed to you in a hat when you posted some pics of one or more of your "rescue" horses and pics of your horse/s...
Agree with everyone - sure he can be 3.
He's pretty nice. Attractively marked. If his conformation isn't horrendous, he's a heck of a buy. Get him, geld him, bring him along slowly and you...
Bowling Green is quite a ways from Lexington, so I'm no expert. I will tell you that you would be about 100 miles from a huge recreational area - Land Between The Lakes - and I have to guess there...
Coming out of lurkdom (what an entertaining thread, by the way) to say, Deltawave, awesome link in your signature. And very appropriate!
Back to my quiet corner...
If Cavalor "sponsored" them, they weren't paying shelf price.
Also, the horses were Morgans, who are famous for looking fabulous on two-year-old hay and a salt lick. And if they didn't "clean it...
So sorry for this sudden and unexpected loss.
If you are looking for "barn boots" as opposed to "riding boots", you might look into Red Wings. Extremely well made work boots:
As someone living in a state he may move to, I would like to know what disciplines he "trains" for so I can start to spread the word.
Does he show? If so, a good shunning is in order.
Cheers to you on this auspicious day, and continued good wishes for the days ahead. You have been a true inspiration, and I personally rank this thread as one of the top two threads ever on Chron.
