Cactus cloth? Those are the best for removing sweat marks.

Video of my first time showing 3'6" jumpers on a horse I only rode a couple times before and never at this height. That was the highlight of my year. :D Now I just have to find a way to fit him into...

I ride one that makes me go WHEEEEE! I only rode him for a week and then took him to do 3'6" jumpers at a show, which neither I nor him, to my knowledge, have ever done. He packed me over a 4'3"...

My main goal was to qualify for a local 3' medal finals, which I did, but my round was HORRIBLE. My horse wasn't listening to me at all, despite me spurring and lifting the crap out of him. He...

I had a great experience when I took my horse for a lameness exam, Dr. Joyce is really a great lady.

So good, but there was one part I needed to look away, curl up in a ball, cover my ears, and think of ponies. I'm still a little bit scarred from it. But it was excellent. It seems so real when...

For jumping, open front and ankle boots, or polo wraps. Same for lunging, but add bell boots. Just hacking on the flat, nothing unless he's acting especially silly that day.
Trailering, no-bows...

My horse doesn't get turned out because he paws at the rocks, throws his shoes, tears his feet up and gets in fights with other horses. I'd rather have him in a stall then lame for months, IMO.

The combination of a small rider/big horse looks much nicer than small horse/large rider, IMO.

$70/day, local circuit. Includes morning schooling, coaching during warm-up, at the in gate and feedback after the course. AM and PM grain. No training rides.

I'm 5'7" and my horse is barely 16.1, but I look a tad big on him because he's so compact. I look perfect on a Thoroughbred that's narrow, 16.3, with a long neck and back. I also look normal on...

When your bedroom is smaller than your horse's stall.

If this is an option, trailer in every day instead of buying a stall and shavings. Just make sure the extra trailering fee is less than a stall.
Be selective with your classes; don't do warm-up...

My horse Halo is my dream horse. Like Dressage Art, I'm easy to please. He makes me feel truly happy and I love the damn horse more than life. That's enough for him to be my dream horse. He has the...

My Thoroughbred hunter's sire is Sunny's Halo who won the Kentucky Derby. Slowest horse ever, always loses the races in the field with his buddies. ;)

There's another show Aug 14-16, same place, same circuit. Come during the morning though, as it gets VERY hot. The jumpers are in the morning anyway, and they're the only thing worth watching....

Suave! Their conditioner is perfect for tails. It's super creamy and leaves their tails so soft. Plus it smells good!

DIY, here. Occasionally on the weekends, I'll "pay" one of the younger riders to get all the horses (usually 4 or 5) I need to ride that day ready in exchange for a ride on my horse and a Coke.

Maybe make pillows out of them? Stitch one side, stuff fluff, stitch the other side. Never tried it but it sounds like it could work.
-
Will they prevent a horse from sweating? My horse sweats CONSTANTLY. It doesn't matter if he's in the field or inside. It's bleaching out his coat, he looks disgusting, and it makes his coat very...

It's barn policy at our place that all sale horse (separate from the lesson bridles) bridles and martingales must be wiped down and figure-eighted before being put up so when I ride the two...
