I have two 10 foot gates, 20 feet total, set back about 30 feet off the road.
I have a haffy cross that I bought for my DD. She was used for up down lessons and camps before we got her: Lovely, sweet, quiet pony...absolute torture for me to ride. I use small rowel spurs and...
Just leave alone and let it grow. If he has a little Mohawk it won't be that noticeable.
I was going to say "off with that mane!" until I saw Fancy That's pic, the mare is adorable and her turnout is lovely. If you can do a tight, well done running braid I think ponykins will be fine...
Figure out the program: stuff his ears, give calming supplements, turn out all night, lunge him , etc...keep going on the hacks, it will get better :)
I've had non mule babies go down the SAME way with me on their back, not abuse, it's called I have more engine than coordination.
OP your mule is awesome, very athletic! Best of luck to you...
Before going the hormone route you might try addressing the discomfort issue. My mares get aspirin or bute for 3-4 days to help with the crampy, not moving forward, don't want to work today. Makes...
Couldn't agree more, hands down best tack shop ever:). I just got their new neoprene girth , much nicer than the Pro Choice ones and less expensive too!
My uncle has the best chickens, they freaking LOFF him. Every time he goes out to the " coop-de-minium" and says "Hello, chicken girls!" they go nuts, cooing and clucking to him like he's the...
I am lusting after these boots...however I wear a size 6 and I'm not sure a 37 will work. What is the sizing like? Anyone out there wear a 6 and have these boots? Thanks :)
We have the opposite of "winter breaks" down here: nasty, humid, rainy, August. Our horses typically get most of the month off due to bad weather and sloppy riding conditions. They seem to enjoy...
Are you doing hunters or jumpers? For jumpers you could use a nice baby pad under your half pad. I like the Eco gold hunter pad, it is very thin and non slip.
It may depend on how wide your horse is and/or how thick you like pads. I like the thinline trifecta on my broad mare and halflinger pony. The equigel pad is a little thicker, works great on my TB....
This  It is very scary to watch, but sometimes the best thing to do is just watch. Horses generally get themselves out of it without assistance.
The IRH is much more oval than CO and GPA...if you've had COs and they fit well, the IRH may not work for you.
I have tiny, narrow feet and I ride in 4 1/4 irons. Most grown ups ride in 4 3/4!
These are awesome:yes: they hold up really well, don't stain like cotton breeches, and most importanly they dont show sweat. I have ridden in them for a couple summers, really love them.
Yes, please tell us about them already!!
This is so funny, I've seen it several time before and it still makes me laugh :)
Tara Winegar is very good, you can google her for her website.
We use 1 part white vinegar, 1 part Skin So Soft, 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Works best on mosquitos and gnats, not as effective on black stable flies.
I'm posting here rather than the horse care forum because I'm interested in responses from HJ peeps who frequently ship out for lessons, shows, clinics, etc. The EHV outbreaks worry me because I'm...
Excellent suggestion SkipChange:yes:
