So, Mr. Jackson wants our opinion on Curlin's future http://stonestreetfarms.com/
Interesting.

The don't make 'em like the Doctor anymore.

Wow. He was so beautiful and so young. Seattle Slew is fading away.
What a strange coincidence that Heatseeker reports to stud duty at Hill n Dale this week.

Some of the Arc contenders are already on their summer break, and some will be competing at Ascot this month, then will likely take a break. The Man O War simply does not have the caliber of turf...

Ok, I'll start:
Zarkava - French Oaks winner, undefeated, will be one of the favorites
Soldier of Fortune

Duke of Marmalade
Youmzain (second in 2007 Arc)
Peeping Fawn

He's apparently headed to Monmouth for The Haskell.

Sorry Beezer, you already mentioned Delp and I don't mean to be redundant, but there it is.
:)
Big Brown is not Spectacular Bid, but both trainers started trash-talking pre-Florida Derby, and...

Anyone remember the self-alienating, bravado-filled trainer Bud Delp? Before the Florida Derby, he said something like Spectacular Bid was "the best horse ever to look through a bridle," then...

oh NO! Goodbye beautiful, you were the queen of California.

Here's an article about how past triple crown winners were perceived. It's very interesting how Big Brown would measure up:

  Has one horse ever caused so much indignity? Between that and the fact that he inflates his height after every win  I'm beginning to think he's just a manipulative egomaniac.

I haven't seen Alexander Goldrun, Ta Wee, or Paseana mentioned yet.

As someone who picked Big Brown for a derby futures pool pre-Dutrow, I don't understand knocking him for his connections. Like Shirley Cunningham in the Pimlico winner's circle last year just before...

Denis of Cork likely headed to the Belmont:
“He came out of the race great,” Carroll said of the colt who finished 3 ˝ lengths behind the ill-fated runner-up Eight Belles. “We will watch him the...

Dutrow looked like he was not feeling so good just before the Derby (maybe had something to do with $100,000? ;-) I thought Big Brown looked a little off after his first start, not surprisingly...

It was neat to see Curlin, really like the idea of publicity appearances. But I kept wanting to reach through the screen and straighten out his sheet!
-
When I asked about him months ago, after his maiden victory at Saratogo, I had no idea he'd become the freak of the week. Darnit. Things in Brunker's article like "second coming of Secretariat" and...

This is especially sweet since Boundary was pensioned in 2005. I am fond of the Boundaries, and could not keep my eyes off of Big Brown at Saratoga last September.
B.B. even impressed Jerry...

Thanks so much for the Big Brown update! I had asked about him earlier in the year, before knowing he was off for an injury. He sure looks great, and it's fantastic he's Keeneland-bound!
-
I was the one who inquired about him on the "triple crown class" thread! He was/is my early Derby pick. So glad he's back and lookin' fine!
-
Have seen all of these except Premieres Armes. Champions is fantastic! (does anyone know how to obtain this movie nowadays?)
Saw Bite the Bullet in the theatre - the slow motion scenes of horses...

"There's quite a bit more going on out here in the real world"
You mean, as opposed to prison?
"Anyone who wanted to could simply ask me, and I'd fill in the details. That doesn't seem a...

Please forgive me if this has already been mentioned, I did not see it in this thread - but, is the Boundary son, Big Brown, on the derby trail?
-
Thanks for the link, JER. My Way was walking around fairly normal afterwards. I don't think it's yet clear why he was pulled up - looked like he never started the race.
But Kauto Star couldn't...
