If I came back as a horse, you would be in the top 5 of who I would want to own me....:)
Oh good Lord....That's a lot to digest.
Jet Run, Gem Twist, Touch Of Class...just a few top TBs that were remarkable jumpers...full TBs....sire and dam....
I am using it at 1cc IM. Good stuff.
Wasn't this type of croup referred to as "gooserumped" in the good old days?
Do you have any pics? I see a lot of TBs racing with sloped croups and it doesn't seem to affect them.
Awesome info! Thank you all!
I too just switched over to try western. I ended up buying a nice barrel saddle. I ride in a 17.5 jumper saddle, my western is a 16. Could have done a 15. I like it because it is light, and sits me...
Thank you both. My goal with him is to just have a good all around horse. I would love to eventually work cattle with him, go on trail, etc...right now he is ready to start back under saddle. I ride...
I can agree with the blood panel. The only other thing is possibly a neck injury. I had a horse that had a pull back injury from putting his head through his fence and slipped and fractured a...
I have an 8 yr old OTTB that had the last yr off for a bowed tendon, now healed.
My goal is to make him an all around ranch style horse.
I have the chance to participate in a Buck Brannaman clinic...
Beautiful stallion, jumps the top of the standards, owned by Hyperion Farm, well run and very professional.
Thank you! And yes, I am enjoying my guy! Buck's Dance.
I posted over in sport horse breeding but got no replies. My OTTB is sired by BuckStrider and I have seen a few things about a couple of his progeny going on to become successful jumpers. Just...
My OTTB is by Buck Strider. Does anyone have any info on him, or know any of his progeny? I have heard a couple things about him being a good sport horse sire.
Glad I'm not the only one...heat cycles and all heavy shedding!
Poison of some kind?
So very sorry.
Just watched those videos...oh my.....just curious, but what is the horse supposed to represent with this movement and pace?
Over yonder in the english world, a lot of purchases and ribbons are judged on how a horse moves. I know on hunters we want long and low movement, big strides, etc...curious in western, what is...
I had great success with a Mikmar Pelham. Barely ever had to use the curb rein. Horse carried the bit well and never fussed with it. I had tried about everything else out there before.
I used it IM for the first time today. 1ml. really worked well!
Apparently my guy does have a QH bum, which is why everyone thinks he is QH. If it wasn't for his tattoo and JC papers, I would swear he was at least appendix. :) I will try to post a link to a...
May another horse soon bless his life with you as an owner Chief2.
Good to hear...I just picked some up for my ottb. Rehabbing from a bow, ready to ride. Heard good things about it.
Thank you Wildlifer and Bluey...:D
