Who cares how high the number is? It takes ONE fall to change your life forever. And that fall can happen anywhere, even in the competition ring.
If you don't want to wear a helmet, that's your...

Doesn't anybody train their DOGS to behave nowadays? When a dog gets loose at a horse show and chases a horse around course, the HORSE isn't the problem.
To me, being able to control your dog on...

Your parents need to know that it's not the OUTSIDE of the helmet that protects your head -- it's the inside part that is clearly broken in your helmet.
Honestly, I replace my helmets every fall...

I agree about the material... and will add that the stitching on two of my four pairs failed in at least one spot on 50% of the (4) pairs I own.
I still think they are incredibly comfortable... ...

In my book, if the horse is being ridden by a pro and the owner is footing the bill, the owner keeps all prizes, absent a prior agreement to the contrary.
When my trainer shows one of my horses,...

Fair enough - not picking on you, just pointing it out for the benefit of the dozens (or more) of people who may come across this thread. When I moved out of eventing territory into an area with...

Thank you - I was just about to post the same thing! Standing martingales are very dangerous x-country. For safety's sake, a running is a much better idea!

They don't address me as Mrs. or my DH as Mr. I've only ever heard doctor... though I can't say I pay attention or care whether other people want to be addressed more formally at horse shows.

It wasn't Courtney's accident that did it for me, but the tragic death of a teenager who used to post here years ago that did it for me.

There is nothing okay with that video. What I see is a horse that is very confused (understandably) and terrified of its trainer. That horse learned nothing but to fear his handler. IF that...

I'm convinced we are shopping soul mates. My Arab has the pink one, too, and my STB has one in purple. I paid WAY more than the $10 they are asking now, too, in the tack store a few years ago....

Oh dear... Here goes the bank account!:lol:

Did you miss the part of my post that you quoted that says "mostly"?
Did you read the rest of my post where I said I was NOT commenting on the Western riding because I don't know enough about it?...

I'm not sure that was so clear in your OP, which references the other riders (plural), including PP - not just PP:
I also don't see any changes to the video from when you first posted it......

Awww, he looks like he's wearing his big brother's medicine hat.:lol:

How terrible can this be for TL? Two of the 3 able-bodied riders had scores above 60% and the third scored 65% at training level.
The para rider scored above 70%.
That's not terrible in my...

I do NOT drink the PP Kool-Aid and never will.... but seriously. The threads on this subject are getting OOC. Why do people care so much? Why do people waste so much energy on this stuff? If you...
