Best pad out there for the money!
Have a mare and a gelding, both totally different line types. Both are amazing with children (will test an adult more!) and are the best equines I have ever had (TBs, WelshX, Cleveland BayX, Arab)....
Goodhors, sorry I should have been more technical in my response. You are correct, a mullen mouth and a low port are 2 different things. I used the terminology together simply because I see so many...
I started my Haflinger mare at 3 in a snaffle. Rode that a year mostly trails, then went to a hackamore for a year, then daughter did dressage with her in a loose ring, then went a kimberwicke when...
After trying all of the above mentioned for the last 10 years I find that Remission is the best product.

Kinda' hard to tell EXACTLY from the pic (without flushing the wound myself) but 5 will get your 10 that the "yellow" stuff you're seeing is not puss but the subcutaneous fat layer. (Seen myself...
Yes. Pony was chronic (titer was 17,500). Had vet install a catheter in neck and did oxy 2x a day for 30 days. It was a PITA but it worked. Pony had no adverse reactions.

Drops off and picks up at The Galloping Grape in Warrenton.
Could also be too much sugar in the grass - I know, it sounds weird but 2 pony boys get swollen sheaths when the grass gets too rich.
Don't mean to be rude, but maybe just discipline the kiddos a little stronger so you can get a *proper* tow vehicle (F250 crew cab) and 3 horse gooseneck. Just remember, now that you have kids you...
Get a mare :)
Best hoof treatment ever - equal parts olive oil and pine tar.
Endomondo is better if you have an Android. I loved it on my Android phone, went to an iPhone, not so much.
I want these:
See them on the trail often, they have a good reputation for nice horses in our area.
The advice everyone has given you regarding training so far has been spot on and I echo all of it. On another note, you may want to try adding magnesium to his diet in the form of Remission or...
OP I have trained my 15h Haflinger mare from age 3 (she is now 9) and I want to tell you not to give up! In my lifetime I have had TBs, Welshx, Appys, Cleveland Bayx, Polish Arab, and 2 Haffies....
If you are still - stop feeding from a hay net and feed on the ground. My Haflinger developed more muscling under her neck from a hung haybag (watch how they pull it out). Much better now that she's...
Joyce Harman would probably tell you that your billets are not aligned with the horses girth groove if this is happening. Something to think about.
Wipe down everything with a damp rag after every ride. Break down once a month. An S.O.S. pad and hot water really shine up a bit:yes:
Gal at barn just got a Tekna and loves it. Would say it's maybe slightly curvier than the new Wintecs but not much. And much nicer. DD rode in it and said Mom can I trade my Wintec for one of these!
Try this one, NOT a jointed!
