Just came across this (it's been a while since I've been on COTH). Yes, that is our boy. We were very surprised and pleased to see the article.
Yes, thank you for the mention. He was in Practical Horseman's conformation clinic in May 2014. Here's a link to the critique:...
If you're looking for jumping ability, Artrageous has it and seems to pass it on (so far-his oldest baby is a 6 year old). Pictured is Artrageous (right) and his daughter Impish Expression (left)....
Our only maiden this year went 363 days. Don't worry - she'll get there when she gets there. :)
Can't find any information anywhere on the aftermath of the tornado destruction. I know 5 of 6 barns were destroyed and everyone yesterday quoted "75-100 horses dead or missing". Saw the interview...
Congratulations! Can't wait to see how he matures!
I ordered some just now. Can't wait to get it!
Super cute mare! And love Parcival - he is gorgeous!
I have to echo what toomanyponies said about the cross bred and what type you may end up with though. I would stick with a TB stallion and there...
I got our system from http://www.securityvideosolutions.com/. Our foaling paddock is about 250 feet away from the house and we have a wireless system. It has a very good picture and was easy to set...
We too are watching and hoping that the American Jockey Club will lift this restriction. Maybe in our lifetime?
If you're looking for Thoroughbreds, it will depend a lot on where you are located and/or how far you are willing to ship your mare to be bred. ;)
LOL Seema, that is too funny, I also talk to my horses as we go around XC. My big grey mare (now retired) was like a freight train cross country and I often worried about a DR penalty as well. And...

ETA: Ah, I see now. Strange rule (IMHO) but I don't understand some of...
Not anymore :). Someone snatched him up. That mare was really something...would have welcomed her here!
So I have a pony sized and a standard horse sized, but really need a cob. Where are the best deals?
I like everything from the knees up. She is way to upright (and short) in the pasterns to my eye which could add up to choppy movement and soundness issues later.
That is too cute!
A lot of "huge" foals at 6 hours of age have alarming looking leg angles. Most will straighten out on their own. Here is an example:
Heartrageous at 12 hours old
Heartrageous at 3 months
No, Laurie you are definitely not the only one who was disgusted by this mess. I would have had some scathing remarks as well, but am in the same boat as you and can't afford to be banned either.
I sent a PM as well.
We have used Horse Carriage Transport twice now and have been very pleased with them. They are great with the horses and very reasonably priced.
Yay for Area 3! I've gotten a couple of our horses T.I.P. registered...now if only I can get to any of the shows.
Yep. Facebook "Event Horses For Sale" or "Sport Horses For Sale", equinenow.com and sporthorsenation.
I was thinking the same thing...except as an Anglo-Arab.
We have had three - two fillies and a colt. Both of the fillies were born 30+ days early and were extremely contracted. The first one corrected with splints and we gave her away as a yearling. Her...
