Trainers who monopolize 25% of the warm up area, basically giving lessons to their clients. Folks, it's WARM UP, not a place for remedial work.
Can someone direct me to the "Virginia horse boards?" Sorry to be dense....
Especially on x-c, my mare gets enthusiastic after the jumps. Not exactly bucking, but speeding up, dramatically. Yes, I have a trainer, but do you guys have any suggestions? I'm not clutching, and...
I was using her usual loose ring snaffle. Odd.
I've just bought a Micklem bridle, and rode in it yesterday for the first time. And I think my mare may be the one-horse-in-a-hundred who doesn't like the bridle. She was fussy, but sort of settled...
Thanks to all...I've ordered the cob and will see!
Does anyone know if Micklem makes a "small horse" competition bridle? Most of the online sites run Pony-Cob-Horse-Large horse, but I see some references to something between cob and horse.
Can anyone recommend an insurance company for major medical and mortality coverage?
My error...is on EventEntries
Will they be posting live scores? Not on EventEntries, unfortunately.
Can you repost the "instructions" please!
Call the Middleburg Tack Exchange. If you can't get to the shop, they can ship saddles to you. Very helpful folks.
Are you anywhere near Middleburg? Go to the Tack Exchange and try a bunch of used saddles. Good luck!
Sadly, I was not there when the x-ray was taken. So am getting this second hand from the BM. All I know is that it's "non displaced," and the horse is currently on 2 months stall rest.
Please share any stories of recovery time! I need a little encouragement....
When I open the Canter Mid-Atlantic page, I'm told there are no horses available. Can that be right?
I've been hand-grazing my horse (who has a leg injury) and noticed her licking and then biting bare patches of earth. She has a salt block, so I don't think it's a mineral deficiency. Any ideas?
All great advice....thanks!
I've got a TB cross who has discovered "taking me" to a fence. That's wonderful, but sometimes she gets a little excited after the fence. Not exactly bucking, but thinking about it. I don't want to...
Send you a PM
I have a horse who slept more than average in her turnout....scoping revealed ulcers. Don't know if there's a correlation or not.
Thanks to everyone! The saying "no hoof, no horse" applies to people, too!
And not all riders have ballet-dancer feet.
Does anyone have boot suggestions for the foot-challenged? Seriously, I have wide feet, and I can't afford to go the custom route. Might field boots run wider than dress?
Do you ride normally while your horse is on Gastrogard? Do you jump? Horse obviously feels better, but I don't want to complicate her recovery.
Thanks! It does seem to be related to standing around....
