Is it fluid filled, like edema? Any heat in the area?
I totally agree. I sure would have given it a bit longer. Lots of babies are born contracted, it takes some time to access what is going on.
Prayers and jingles
Very sorry. Every foal is different, but we had a 315 foal make it and she is 5 years old now and doing well, totally normal. Glad you took her right in. Best wishes for your little one.
Very sorry for your loss.
So very sorry for your loss.
I think she said this particular blanket had the leg strap sewn in?
Prayers and jingles.
We had a very similar problem. Fence was on far property line, put up by former owner. Neighbors horses were eating my fence. I won't even get into why, but believe me when I say they were not going...
We have had great luck with Equishure. I would recommend giving it a try, with the consent of your vet of course.
Best of luck.
Personally, I would go with the TC Senior.
So sorry. Going through kind of the same thing. Those sudden ones will just take the wind out of you to be sure. Hang in there, there a many of us who understand.
So sorry. Do you know what or how he did this?
A very sad day for pony breeders everywhere.
I don't use Mare Stare, but we do love our cameras and system from www.foalingcamera.com. Easy to work with, easy to add additional cameras and very knowledgeable people.

Very strange with no external injury. Are they mainly just doing supportive treatment to see how she responds?
Prayers and jingles.
Sounds like this owner has no business with this horse at this time. This is a huge accident waiting to happen for both of them. Glad you were not in the line of fire, but what about next time. ...
Ok, well perhaps different then. Have they ultrasounded the area? I'm glad you are getting a second opinion, please do update here. I am curious as to what the believe the cause to be if not an...
We had a filly come home from a show last year and developed pleural pneumonia. Is this what they told you your pony had? This can be very serious and our filly was on meds much longer, first...
Yes, if the registration number starts with a D, she is a section D pony.
Congratulations on your new pony and best of luck.:)
What exactly is she saying the problem is? While I too would be concerned for the horse, I would also be concerned about taking the horse back for her and trying to sell it again. The buyer is not...
Wonderful story and very cute pony. Best of luck.:)
