Try a different rider? You never know...
Some really good jumpers just aren't a good match for some really good riders.
Get another (really good) rider, and see if it's a better match.

There is no shortage of talented jumper pros in CT. Your request is rather vague.
Do you want to do YJC?
Do you want to learn to jump yourself?
Are you looking to supply an up and coming...

I heard that there was much time spent on 3'6", and not so much on lower levels.
Interesting reading Shelby French a few months ago re that horsemanship students will graduate their programs with...

Doesn't actually matter whose fault it is, Glimmerglass--a meltdown that serious would give anyone pause, and a horse in that state of panic is liable to kill itself (and anyone nearby). If it were...

In the OP on day one, we were not observing a PROCESS. We were asked to evaluate based on one photo showing a very awkward effort.
If you are looking to buy based on not very much information,...

It's just bad PR.
The photo added today looks great. I would sure have waited to post one till I had one of those if I was the OP.
If you must make a decision, unless you see good form,...

Hate to disappoint you tidy rabbit, but yes, when a horse has ability, I expect to see it from the very first effort.
I would not have let that photo see the light of day, myself.

That wound needs to be lanced and drained by a competent vet. If there is no one available to administer after care, it's on the verge of needing to go to a clinic for continuing treatment.

Always take temp when a horse is suddenly off feed. It's the most easily measured vital indicator, and will tip you off to an infection, if present.
Never medicate without first speaking to a vet.

How old is this horse?
You say he was 'better' after rest, yet you opted to inject him.
Was there something specific you were hoping to address with that procedure?
How steady was/is...

An adult student of mine has a niece that may be interested in attending as a day student--it's not my neck of the woods though; any Madeira alums out there who can comment?

Has anyone heard anything?
I have heard that ALL the GPxs are supposed to be on Saturday PM this year...
Glad I'm not a groom.
Or the rider of a horse that isn't great at night under lights....

Those seem like double points/split divisions reading the class numbers...? I think it's up to the stewards to police excesses. And its up to exhibitors to stick their necks out and point these out...

Doesn't take much of a stretch to see that this could be construed as advertising the association of a product/service with a high profile show barn...
So what's up with that?
And, yes, I just...

Obviously incorrigible and hopless. Give up, turn her out.
Either that, or go to a pro with experience in dealing with youngsters. Chances are she's been simply let run amok and this is the...

So what are you trying to say, DMK?
Breeding doesn't matter? Ironic, isn't it?

Not a troll, but a kid. Ah, makes sense now.

With all due respect...it's rather shortsighted (particularly as an owner of a 'heavier" mare) to write off ALL TB's and/or a stallion as nice as JTB (wasn't he the sire of a bunch of the SBW winners...

Good to see the sport getting "good" press.
Though reading through, it's hard to say what the piece was actually ABOUT.
Hillary? Hillary goes pro? Hillary wins...2 weeks ago? Funny lead.

Well would it be easier to become the person "he needs," or the one that YOU need? Sounds like you are quite a ways from being able to pull it off financially on your own.
Seems to me that maybe...

Have heard that Stonegate is questionable.

If you name a barn, and the barn has been advertised, and the advertisement states prices, why get snarky when they are discussed?
Especially as they are the going rate, and not at all out of line?

You keep saying that your gelding is a pasture puff. Your mare is 22? How much do you 'work' them?
I'm also puzzled about how you got the halter on your mare and into the washstall before...
