Do the saddles have to be custom made with special panels or are some of these saddles just built with these panels?
I get the 50 mg capsules off amazon. When allergies are really bad he gets 10 capsules twice a day. Right now he is being maintained on 10 once a day. He is a very large (1200-1300 lb) boy.
What do you feed him? I have one prone to muscle soreness and would like to find a solution. Thanks!
So sorry you are going through this! My horse went through anhidrosis for two summers. I tried most of the typical treatments (One AC and Guiness included) and they didn't help much. I am not sure...
CV-80D aerosol fly spray from Tractor Supply. I was introduced to it from a farrier that travels the country. Really seems effective.
Odd question, but do they do flexion tests in Europe as part of a PPE? No experience there.
Do you know the vet who did the exam? Frankly, there are equine vets out there who just suck with flexions and lameness issues. I'd be suspicious with him being sound and flexing poorly on all four...
Tried them last year on my non-sweater. I got through 7 patches with the only sweat happening right under the button on the patch. I gave up at that point. I will say the company promptly gave me my...
OMG is this woman for real? I read the protest and thought it was meant to be a joke. She really wants a hearing? What does it have to do with the Pensacola show anyway?
Not set in stone yet, but this is what the proposal is:
I believe they took out the 48 hr part for 2013.
Not to hijack the thread, but I am a re-rider and for some reason "not doing anything" usually ends up with me getting left behind these days. So I end up throwing myself at the fence. So how...
I've never really understood why ulcer meds are dosed by weight. I mean, it is going to the digestive system and isn't that the same size in a 1000 lb horse and a 1500 lb horse?
FWIW, I gave my...
Sounds so much like my guy last spring! http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=351109
I treated with pop rocks and he went back to normal!
What is the difference between the contour and the ultra pad?
Please report back; I am in the market myself and need something with a forward flap.
The fleece tubes are a great idea! I bet 2 sets would do the trick!
What saddle are you trying?
I am with you; not sure how to keep a new saddle totally free of marks even with the stirrup leathers wrapped! It seems like the leathers would rub through the sock or...
Yup. It seems pretty simple to me; a 30 second phone call or email is all it would take. I don't know, it just seems like the right thing to do.
People don't want to step in and help unless the horse looks pitiful. Even rescues...if someone asks for help with a healthy looking horse, they say they are full. But post a picture of a skinny...
And many vets won't euthanize a "healthy" horse...really depends on their definition of healthy.
So sad...why don't buyers honor their word and contact the old owners? It seems to happen A LOT.
Unfortunately too many people would criticize this because the colt was euthanized. :( I'm not sure when euthanizing a suffering animal became a bad thing, but it has. It's crazy.
Lisa, you did...
Help is just not out there right now. You really need to be going through something like this to understand that. :(
I feel for these horses, but I also feel for the owner(s) right now. The...
For those that have used Thinline, are they a lot better than something like a Cashel pad for absorbing shock? Just wondering; it doesn't seem that something so thin could be helpful!
What I find sadder is a horse that is perfectly sound but ignored by its owner. I've boarded in barns where the horses lived in stalls and turnout was optional. Some horses had absentee owners and...
