There is the Fall Classic Sale in Olds, Alberta (an hour from Calgary, canada) over the Canadian thanksgiving. Usually a good mix of all ages and breeding.

Any type of system which is overused/overdone can cause problems.

I would probably say pass since if your already being hit hard with the economic times one more horse who needs alot of groceries and may not sell quickly regardless of what's happening in the world...

I normally get fairly good gifts, horse realted or not. Love the useful gifts the best and helps when parents are pretty good about getting what i want/need.
