He's been bred to some quality mares. From what I've seen, there isn't a consistent type or stamp. He's a lovely horse, with many good qualities, so it will be interesting to see how they develop...

ljs - are you taking your Escudo's? If so, I'd love to hear what the judges thought
-
What a wonderful inspection  The judges were great, and the horses were all lovely :) Out of the 12 foals presented, 3 were out of SPS mares, 2 out of EM, and 3 out of EMC, with the other 4...

I'm heading off now to the inspection to spectate & hopefully will a few things as well :) Very excited to see some of the Escudo's! I was hoping to see another De Laurentis, but it looks like the...

I completely agree with VirginiaBred. Breeding may be a crapshoot, but there are ways to go about things to ensure you give yourself the best chance, the foundation of which starts with a great...

What are you breeding your QH horse for? Do you do the AQHA stuff?
Just because someone is breeding a QH, does not mean that they are breeding a low quality animal. The QH industry is quite...

Any pictures? I love Cunningham :)

You are in Ontario? I would re-breed, things don't always happen on the first try, and if your climate is hospitable for a foal in July, you should be fine....on the other hand, starting early next...

Yes, it is strange to see the sale's horses come through the barn (WB's with papers - largely imports), have less bone than the 2 TB's in the barn....I love bone, you can find it in the TB's, I have...

Well, having a neighbor who does the AQHA stuff, it seems like they like to spend big-time $$$$ on what most would never think of....that number doesn't surpise me at all, and the same with the...

When I inquired about a successful hunter-mare, legit 6-figure horse who has shown & won a lot, it was a bit less than a stud fee...
-
What is Silvio's stud fee? In the various discussions of him, I can't recall his stud fee...:)
-
I think Raffaello would be a great option for you as well. He is gorgeous to look at, very reasonable stud fee, and great bloodlines. I think he would improve your mare's topline and hind-end, and...

Gorgeous can't re- ! Can't wait to see that one jump

My TB mare has a lovely De Laurentis who added more action then the other dressage stallion she was bred to, but still has her moms light gaits & freedom of shoulder - she is a nice, nice mover. ...

maple - if you don't mind me asking, who do you use for a vet? Please feel free to PM me, I'm also in MA :)

When Tempo was bred with fresh 4 years ago (not be me), it took her 3 attempts with his fresh. I do think they started too early the first time, but catches if one guy gets anywhere near close to...

Oh you must be thrilled! My mare has a coming 4yr old by Parabol and he is lovely  Just wondering, did you use his frozen? How did it look?
