Any way to post a video clip of the horse being saddled?
Who was the photographer there this year?
If you want a nice custom wool flocked saddle I would say County, Black Country or Albion. Sometimes they throw in a nice cover or leathers.
I would strongly recommend leasing in your situation. The horse you leased came up lame and you gave it back....but what if you owned that horse....
Someone snatched up Futile Attempt-she is listed as placed.
Because the BC is a lot more saddle between you and the horse, plus they do not have a narrow twist and they are wool flocked....which is why the french saddles probably don't fit your horse.
The previous owner does not have to take the horse back, buyer beware. Bet that $500 vet check seems like a bargain now. I would start with a course of robaxin and a saddle fitter.
The zap is clearly not like an electric fence, more like if they get a static shock when you take off their blankets....Do you really think a horse would crib on it?
Has anyone thought about trying to to deter a cribber?
I recently got one for my house cat and the zap isn't that bad.
I thought it would be perfect to put along a stall front or stall door.
This is your first horse and you are a beginner, yet you have an OTTB who doesn't sound like he's had much training?
You lost me at Parelli games as well.
SwapYankee--How many feedings do you do per day? How much do you feed per feeding? He currently gets 2 1/2 lbs of TCS in the morning and again at night.
I have a 30+ yr old large pony who is currently at a great weight and still acts like youngster. His teeth are starting to get worn down and fall out, so soon it will be time to change his diet, as...
tapeworms, encysted strongyles or perhaps ulcers??
Equimax, powerpack or treat for ulcers.
Has anyone ever purchased it from here?
Another posted said you didn't need a script.
The horse had been scoped at least once that I know of...it was not ulcers.
FWIW-knew an old gelding that ALWAYS had negative to low fecals, never was powerpacked. This horse would colic 2-3 times per year religiously for 10 + years. Powerpacked him, hasn't colicked once...
If the saddle is moving around that much, it cannot be comfortable for your horse. If it doesn't fit your horse, perhaps it's time to find one that does. I know TC says one saddle fits all, but I...
It sounds like the saddle is not the right fit for your horse. These saddles have foam panels, so you can't have it flocked. "Too tight" probably will be made worse with an extra pad.
"I always like the look of a "living fence."
I wonder how hard this is to maintain? http://oldsalemfarm.net/facilities"
This is lovely, but it looks like a Yew or Boxwood shrub...both of which...
I have two older geldings with cushings and have never heard of lumps due to cushings.
I do however know of an older mare who had cushings and developed lumps that turned out to be cancer. The...
I can't view the episode.
Can someone do a recap?
What was it about?
I love schneiders stable blankets. They are smooth on the coat, durable, wash well, stay in place, don't rub and are cheap.
I use the closed front bellyband ones under a nice waterproof turnout...
I recently put my two older ponies on Triple Crown Safe Forage(they also get Triple Crown Senior) and they plumped right up. They are 28 and 31 years old and still do light work. They both have...
Who feeds this to their horses or ponies?
Anyone have experience feeding it to a cushings horse?
I feed both of my Cushings horses TC senior. They both do well on it.
