This morning, one of the Chromies wondered if Chrome injured his leg from running in the opposite direction while in Britain.
Across The Universe, Pirate Radio, The Great Escape, and The Bridge On The River Kwai.
Here's an example. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=National+Paso+Fino+Horse+Show&FORM=VIRE1#view=detail&mid=EABAAE450BBB7CBBA338EABAAE450BBB7CBBA338
Have you ever watched a Paso Fino show? The horses gait on a raised wooden platform, so that the sound of their hooves hitting can be heard. It's quite interesting to see.
Yes, that is common. Some 'northern' tracks close for the winter months. Up here, at Woodbine, we run until the end of November, early December, and then don't start racing until April.
My babies, four of them, left the nest about a week ago, and all of the swallows have left the area.
If you have specific horses in mind, look up their race records before hand. Ask about any glaring gaps between races, and/or recorded works. i.e. off for six months? Why?
My daughter, who works for MAC, also does special occasion makeup. About a month ago, she ended up with a bride who didn't think it was, you know, important, to let her know that she was gluten...
If you go to the Pedigree Query message board, you will find both of them listed. Do a member search, and you can do a PM.
On the 'caption this' picture, I wanted to put 'Can't you see I'm ignoring all you crazies? Leave me alone.' ;)
Referring to a previous post by Linny....drives me nuts when these people who buy OTTBs, and brag about how much money their new horse made on the track. Like $50,000 over four years is huge, to...
Yes, I was ahead on Barber, but we also have two 2 y.o.s, who have yet to race, and a 3 y.o., who does his darndest to screw us up. ;)
My bill, for one of the four I own in partnership with trainer, and another person.
'Barber' 27.5% ownership.
Training 31 @ $17.88 = $554.28
As a matter of fact, I do. :)
The NDP want everything, and someone else to pay for it, to quote my mother.
I 'liked' the facebook page just to see what you all are talking about. These people truly are nuts. Latest update is about the Cobourns selling their shares. How could they? They are Chrome's...
What about putting an old wooden fencepost back in...but about a foot shorter than the hole, and then filling with the concrete, or sand.
Just be careful complaining about manure run off. They might just decide that you are in violation as well. :(
Here you are...Ariat Performers that lace, and zip. :) http://www.ariat.com/PERFORMER_ZIP_W_FOO.html?dwvar_PERFORMER__ZIP__W__FOO_color=BLACK#start=7
I have been watching a show lately, on one of the satellite channels, that does just this. Take old barns, dismantle, and repurpose them as new homes, and sometimes as barns, again. Quite...
Since I have two laptops, I may download 10 to the older one that I don't use much. That way I can test drive before installing it on the new one. :)
And I will, any day, gladly pay through my taxes, to know that the opportunity for treatment is there if I need it. Doesn't matter if you make minimum wage, or are unemployed, or earn six figures. ...
For a really stubborn abcess on one of my mares, we actually had to cut away the hoof wall, from toe to coronet band, a strip about an inch wide. We could not get it cleared with antibiotics, and...
Yup....sloppiest, slippery job in the world trying to get those things skinned.
2 c sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar (remove 2 Tbsp. for first step)
1/2 c butter
12 peach halves skins removed
1 tsp cinnamon
