I've ordered several times and only once did I not have at least a 3 week wait. The last time, I paid $30 for expedited shipping and it took 4 weeks! They did try to make it right as I received...

Unfortunately, all too true. If there were only animal cruelty charges all they would have received is a $50 fine and perhaps 20 hours of community service, if that.

Keep in mind, they can't be chemically euthanized if the body is to be used for feeding other animals. Shouldn't have other drugs in their systems either.

Ditto Dr. Sarah Ralston. She's a COTH member but I haven't seen her post in awhile. You can probably contact her through Rutgers:

I just don't understand the continued inability to supply these makeshift hospitals with drugs and trained personnel? Aren't helicopters available to drop supplies to these people if the roads are...

Looks like he has golf ball implants in both hocks? Amazing that someone who knows anything about horses, never mind a BREEDER, would need that pointed out. :dead:
Lovely horse in many ways but...

I know money's tight but x-rays don't cost that much. If your farrier suspects ringbone, get the vet out. Ringbone is easy to identify on a radiograph. I'm sure your farrier would appreciate...

You should get this horse scoped and on Gastrogard or just go right to GG. Ranitidine may relieve symptoms in some horses IF given 3X per day but it has never been proven to cure ulcers. Cutting...

Don't laugh but I thought my two Arabs (one black and one white) looked very cool in the zebra version. They also had zebra polo wraps. Gauche, but fun!
Of course they had the more...

My thought exactly!
And, FWIW, doesn't sound like Strangles to me. At. All.
Your vet will only come if a horse is thrashing or bleeding out? Are you serious????

I'd post this request on horseshoes.com. There are a number of good farriers in the area.
IMO, any deep puncture wound to the bottom of the hoof should be seen by a vet ASAP. A tetanus booster...

True. I've seen plenty of driving horses outfitted with overchecks. You know, the type that connect from the bit, over the poll to the saddle to keep a horse from lowering its head? Not so...

The "wildlife" takes a toll on pet cats as well. ;)

I had an Arab gelding who was great under saddle but thought the lunge line was time to be a yahoo. His trainer allowed this and as long as I was at this facility lunge time was a terrible ordeal...

Wonder what horses that live on the equator do?

True, but if high titers indicate active disease as some claim, wouldn't you expect at least the remains of a single organism to show up? PCR testing can be done on a blood sample. Biopsy not...

Isn't the KD winner (and won it by a margin not seen in more than 50 years) usually included in the "Three-Year-Old Male" category every year?
MTB also came very close to clipping RA in the...

All of those are antibody tests with the snap being the least reliable. If you want an accurate diagnosis for Lyme, get PCR done. This website explains all of the tests (they do them all) and what...

Sounds more like he had a corneal ulcer. Corneal ulcers pick up the orange dye, Fluorescein, which fluoresces back as a glowing green. Corneal ulcers are not uncommon with ERU but they are not by...

OK, gotcha. 700mg x 3 = 2,100mg/day is about right also.
My biggest concern would be how the drug is protected from stomach acid, which destroys it. That's the single biggest drawback with all...

The drug omeprazole does not have to be given 3X/day. A single dose is effective for 24 hours in both humans and horses. This ad is a scam.
