I JUST saw Phoebe singing Smelly Cat on TV and as soon as I saw this thread, thats what I thought of.

Im a dressage rider but have hunter jumper friends. Their coaches have much more control over what they do than the coaches Ive had as a dressage rider. Im not sure if thats typical of that...

Aww, thats sweet! My DH is non-horsey as well but still likes to help out some. He likes to lead them in at supper.

Are you planning to show in the Spring? ie, do you have to be ready for something when the Spring comes? If not, take some time off if you feel like it. If its like this all the time, you arent...

I agree with the previous poster. When I was a child, I was taught to ask if I could pet an unfamiliar dog. When I take my dog out, very few children ask to pet him. It really bothers me. All dogs...

haha, that was my question too. That thing is HUGE. The horse looks like he is having a great time with it!

its free longing, so its free, right?
In all seriousness I think $20 would be fine but I agree with the others that 30 mins is too long. If he was on a longe line and had a good walk warmup, the...

Ditto! I also turn them inside out, not sure if that makes a difference though.

Im still riding consistently so my upside is that I'll be more show ready than other competitors who didnt want to ride because of the cold. Or at least thats what I tell myself when its 14 degrees...

Been there. Ive driven 5 hours each way to find horses that are not as described or horses that have a serious conformation flaw that wasnt disclosed. Ad stated the horse had textbook conformation....
