Thanks for the hep everyone! I'm glad I asked! I will have to rethink his gifts, maybe some nice fox hunting bourbon glasses.

I would love to get him some nice technical winter under layers, but...

I don't know anything about cataracts with young dogs, but our old lab started getting cataracts at 9ish. At almost fifteen, she's mostly blind from her cataracts. It has had very, very little...

Hi fox hunters! My dad started hunting this season and is in love with the sport. He got a flask for his birth day, and in addition to other gifts, I'm getting some little things for christmas. If...

I prefer dark grey, brown, navy, and tan. My tack is fairly conservative too, (other than flashy brow bands, but I"m an eventer). I don't do flashy saddle pads, apparel, or tack even for schooling,...

As long as it's advertised upfront, I don't see what the problem is. Most of these barns are either lesson or show barns, and expect people to ride (or be willing to ride) to their standards. If...

Have you tried the tredsteps? IMO, they are miles better than the treadstones. The leather isn't super thick, but it's certainly not thin like a lot of the higher end boots. I'm the exact same...

If they zip up the back, just leave the top inch unzipped. Worked fine for my dad, you can't notice it unless you're really looking for it.

Or try the bathtub method. Set aside a whole day,...

My dog enjoys snacking on month old skunk carcasses (after rolling in it :dead:) Fully cooked chicken that sat for a few hours in a cold car is totally fine.

I could be wrong, but I think she was referring to human medical bills (Ie cheap horse dumps your ass because it's too much horse/too green for rider).

My tuff riders split in 3 rides and were returned. I just got the mountain horse ice riders and they are definitely stiff, but ooh much more durable. A friend at the barn has had hers for 2 years...

Eh, sounds like a pretty name and feel-good excuse for the breeder to breed a ton of litters without paying for the dogs or having any responsibility post-breeding age. My parents got their lab...

Do you have him go in the crate when he WON'T be closed in? Do short training sessions of having him go in the crate, and sit at the back. Reward, then tell him to come out and repeat. Do that 5-10...

FWIW I've used everything from full cheeks to a pelham on my micklem's with no problems. You could always use a spur strap (cut to size) and a braid rubber band if the straps aren't long enough.
