How much off is the code for?
There are a lot of people making a lot of assumptions on this horse's training ;) You don't know. So just continue from nothing.
Half passes are done with forward movement but in the direction...
I hvan't read every post.
That said, I'm seeing a lot of assumptions. So and so told you this, and it seems apparent that, and so on.
Start the horse over, as if he were a greenie. Because...
I've bathed outdoors in much, much colder! I think you're totally fine at that temp. On the occasions I've had to bathe in the 30s or 40s, I did it as quickly as possible for horsey and I, layered...
OP, I say do it. You likely won't find it successful, but you'll learn a lot :)
I remove my leg straps and use twine to make fillet strings. They are easy and cheap to replace when dirty :)
While I've purchased many diamonds-in-the-rough (all unbroke) and have never spent more than $1600, I would spend more if my needs dictated. I'm a trainer and am good at finding quality animals in...
My pony has a 66 Rambo Plus, a 66 Rhino Wug and a 66 Amigo. So I'd say the size would be the same. That said, my Rhino is my least favorite. It doesn't stay straight and it has a shorter drop than...
Congrats to you!
The run-on sentences and LOLs bug me, but love the husband playdates!
In my experience, the #10 wide clips hair slightly longer than #10 regulars. So careful if you mix the two on the same horse during the same clip!
I've had good luck with Nikwax rug proof.
Wow, can't wait to hear how this holds up. The price seems unbelievable!
I LOVE Rambos, but IMO the Amigos are JUST as good for MUCH less price. Just stay away from the Rhinos!
I'm a fan of Wugs, but I also really love the regular Amigos. I have two old, sway-backed horses that are really hard to fit, and wugs and Amigos work the best for me.
Wow, hubby was going to borrow a harrow and drag the pasture next weekend. We keep them off of it Oct - April. Should I go ahead and have him drag, or not?
I did ^ just this year. Helped a lot!
My parents blame Rimadyl on the rapid decline and ultimate euthanasia of their beloved old lab. I have not personally done enough research to have an opinion.
Right. I'm not sure yet whether someone "leaked" the QH registry info or how they discovered their QH registration statuss. I'm pretty sure their QH registration has been revoked.
We did this this year. Sold the 5-horse featherlite and the camping trailer and consolidated to a 4-horse Classic LQ. I got to take it to 3 shows and stayed in it twice with the kiddos. LOVE IT.
These two "half-arabians" were registered with AQHA. That's how they knew they were QHs. Also, they weren't registered as "half-arabian" until they were 2.
I, too, start with legyield. If a rider is having difficulty with the location in which to ask for the LY in the arena, I will use cones for a visual.
I, personally, would not spend HALF of $2500 per year on a horse that can't be agreeable enough to ride. I can AFFORD to, I just don't think the other side of death is that bad of a place. I hope I...
I use zipped helmet bags.
I have an elderly pony with poop issues. She gets a tail bag spring through fall but come winter, I do the Arabian tail method: Wash, condition, dry, brush, braid, loop braid through top braid hold...
I have to blanket my old cushingoid pony pretty heavily during the winter. I put a turnout sheet on her below 60 degrees or I get what you described above - mild, colic-like symptoms. Last winter...
