Then there was the QH my brother owned back in the...

We all love our Wintecs here in Ocala; they never rot, can be rinsed off after every ride, and even put in a washing machine (without bit and in a longerie bag)!!... but, I need one more hole...........

Copper is not illegal if it is ALL copper in the mouthpiece; I think that is only mixed metal bits.
have you tried the myler? legal, and I know horses that respect it more than a plain snaffle.

Thanks, Ambrey. I was hoping for something a bit more refined than a 1 inch wide bridle with rosettes at the browband... it looks like something I'd put on the draft to ride him to the field! ...

Everyone found the bridle for seabreeze, I wonder if someone can help me..
I have been in search of a synthetic bridle for my large, TB/Perch cross. My show leather bridle fits, BUT, I'd sure like...

SO, IF the TD is misinformed re: buttoned collars, what to do? I read the rule book and it says nothing about open collars, as someone posted the quote above. I'd rather button it, because...

It's just really too bad that so many threads here on CoH turn into snarkfests between a few posters. It's not new, been going on for a while, but I continue to visit in the hope that I will...

Deep footing is really hard on a horse. I have heard that tall grass is a better option for those of us in the flatlands.

I'd go with Bl/wt pad or Bl/black pads; I don't think grey horses look good in cream..........

Cute horse. I am really not qualified to comment much, being a struggling rider myself, but I had a saddle that put my leg forward and it was really impossible to be correct in my position. When I...

In addition to other suggestions,
Be sure to have a photo of you and your horse for ID, and be sure the names you put on the ID tags is the name on the Coggins and/or registration papers; hard to...

Thanks, Medical Mike. I'll add that to my list of exercises.

Buzz4, I agree. That comment sounds like somethnig from TOB.
I am sure you will get some good answers.
Sending him forward worked for my horse, with less emphasis on being round or up....

Medical MIke, when you say "walk across it" (the balance beam) do you mean down the length of it? First in a regular walk (facing the direction you are going) then facing foward but moving left or...

I hope so! But let's face it, when you say "elegance", one does not automatically think of a chunky rider with short legs, no matter how harmonious she looks. Or how invisible the aids, Or how...

I think "elegance" is MORE than just sitting still! IMO, judging this falls into the same category as judging the non-traditional horse who does not LOOK like a dressage horse BUT HAS GAITS AND...

There is an article in the new DT or Connections... about the L program. I was a bit alarmed to see the part about riders needing to show "elegance" to get good rider position and effectiveness of...

Years ago Lion Country Safari in WPB would come around and pick up dead horses. I don't know if they still do, but the horses were euthanized at home and transported after they died. As a matter of...

I give up my right outside hand.... what I found is that I am looking too far inside, and so turning my body too much to the inside, which makes me pull the inside rein too much and loosen the...

I have not read this whole thread, but there is a palomino/cremello WB stallion that shows at our schooling shows and stands in FLorida. His name is Blue Eyed Dream and he is really nice. I saw him...

A hard lesson I have just learned: Ask if the horse lunges if it is important to you. Who would ever ask that? I didn't and now the horse of my dreams is not quite that, and is for sale...... :(...
