No, clip anytime you need to!

Here is the MPB link. There are several pony breeders websites listed here.

Watched it again, still looks to me like he switched in front took a normal trot step behind. At any rate, not a flying lead change.

I started light riding a month after my c-section. By light I mean walking for a week or so, the some trotting for a week, then cantering... Fortunately I healed well and fast and took it slow.

Simple change. He trots a brief step to switch leads.

Yay!
My son is 3 and showing some interest.

I would and have, as long as it is not too severe.

I have always thought of low end auctions as the "pound" for horses. A few get lucky and adopted into nice homes, a few get adopted into bad homes and the rest are euthanised (sp?). period.
I have...

Don't worry about his summer coat. If you want to clip, do it. It will still grow in nicely no matter when you clip if your horse is healthy.

I like your horses markings. Very unique!

He could do local shows or the childrens division.

I have always agreed with what the article says. It never made sense to me to work a horse hard then wrap it's legs and make it stand in a stall. Nothing encourages stiffness and swelling like laying...

None. I buy my ponies as young as weanling and as old as two. I buy them to sell and they have gone on to good homes but have all been sold again and sometimes again and again.... (and most of them...

What about Pengwyn? I have heard he hasn't (or can't?) have chestnut foals. Not sure if that means he is Homozgous for the black gene or not. All the genetic specifics makes my head hurt so I don't...

For what it's worth, I agree 100% with Findeight. That is what I would do. I would be very skeptical of a lease, especially a green pony. And double divisioning him could turn into more than you...

I wouldn't say mine is the best and I am a small time pony farm, but I did it myself VERY inexpensively! You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a decent website. I update mine all the time...

I am exactly the same size and also school smalls, mediums, and larges of all ages regularly.

Sounds like there is a good chance she will stay a measureable med. At 3 1/2 she probably won't grow any more or just a tiny bit.

Do you not know what goes on at some of the top barns with top trainers?
-
:eek:WOW! Lovely, definately has the look.

Misty Manor in MD used to rent horses by the hour, to anyone. You went out on the trails pretty much unsupervised if I remember correctly. I haven't heard of them in years but maybe you could Google...

She does seem very sweet!
She didn't get the lead change behind but wasn't exactly set up to do it. She just switched in front then switched back in front never changed behind.
She certainly...

Way easier to work out of, more room for big horses, and safer for people loading and unloading the horses. I have never had problems shipping in a straight load. I wouldn't own a slant load.
