I have a friend who is heavily involved in a WB breeding operation, has her own mare to breed and who takes a particular inspector's word as absolute gospel w.r.t. which stallion to breed to and...

You can't be serious. Horses often come up lame for reasons other than neglect.
As much as I feel for the OP personal situation and wanting these horses back, the BO was under no...

I totally understand about low tolerance to heat and my post wasn't intended to belittle anyone who chooses to show sans jacket. Heat +/- humidity + physical exertion almost always lead to nausea...

I NEVER enter the arena in front of judge without my jacket. A few minutes in the heat with a jacket on isn't going to kill me and the overall presentation is so much better.

We take Showmanship classes pretty seriously around our barn and this woman's techniques .... My 4 year old niece was watching these videos with us a few months ago and recognized how poorly...

We have a filly this year who was born windswept to the left. She's 2 weeks old and already much straighter with no special treatment.

Thanks much!
That's exactly the type of info I'm looking for. And no, we aren't considering breeding to him. Just looking deeper into an opportunity that has presented itself.
-
Just to clarify... colour is NOT a consideration. I'm interested in conformation, movement & temperment only.
I'm also not looking for alternative suggestions - just info on this bloodline.

Let's pretend that Airdrie Apache is a plain old chestnut horse with completely boring markings. Same goes for his get.
With me? No discussion of colour please. Relative quality only.

I am quite capable of reading for comprehension and what I'm seeing is somebody who bought a product sight unseen, doesn't like the quality (it happens), tried to get resolution through a customer...

I'm not saying you received the best service but you're on a rant because a voice mail message wasn't returned within 30 minutes?

I show APHA so colour is the first and the last criteria I look at. The horse HAS to have enough white to be eligible for regular registry. If it doesn't, my show options are severely limited. ...

Lots of pics are great but put them on a separate page so people aren't waiting for them to load unless they really want to see them.
When I'm stallion shopping, it's very frustrating when there...

Anybody mention "The Quest" by Wilbur Smith?
A grey foal is born - grey from the minute it hits the ground. All the knowledgeable soldiers ooh & aah over it's beautiful long back. Less than 2...

Mine will be 2 in early March. She did 3 shows last summer - just to get out and about - and did very well. Baths, clipping, trailering and new environments don't seem to worry her. I started her...

You've misunderstood me. Regular face white - star, stripe, blaze does not constitute any form of overo.
Most tobianos have "regular" face white. For that matter, most horses have some form...

Why does "regular" face or leg white have to be sabino?
In answer to your question, I've never seen or heard of it happening unless there is some form of overo hiding in the background and...

You can take this 1 step further with Jaks Artifacts - a son of Indian Artifacts out of a TB mare. He's 7/8 TB but, as a result of his stellar show record, has his blue papers.

I could go on for hours!!
The girl who brought a curling iron to the barn every weekend to do her horse's mane.
The teenager who painstakingly and beautifully banged a school pony's tail - to...

Sorry to burst your bubbles but I have it on rather good authority from the local crazy lady that chestnuts are there to assist the horse in breathing while it is being worked.  You had...
