Many Lipizzans are suitable for amateurs as long as they are fairly tactful riders. But then that is true of most horses.
That price is an extreme, almost unbelievable--most are available in the $8k-15K range, some nice youngsters for even less. For 25 you get a well started stallion prospect at the very least. ...
The Spanish Riding School did not have any Morgans, ever. You probably saw an American touring show which had a mix of breeds.
One can freeze for oneself without regard to registration as a form of insurance.
This! He's lovely.
I know of a PSG mare, 17 year old Lipizzan, whom I beieve is sound, for $12,000. Why pay 50k? Lips live a long time and are known for soundness....
I will haul to a local clinic about 10 miles away. This is one I don't use for my own vet needs so there is no conflict. I would haul locally, but only if I can get off work and the appointment...
My 22 year old had foals in 2007, 2008 and this year. She has a B uterus. I wouldn't worry. A year off can be good for her. This year's is wonderful too!

I have sold to Saskatchewan, Canada and New Hampshire -- you aren't so far! There aren't too many breeders on hte east Coast but you can look in NY at Walzing Horse farm and there's one in CT. See...

You will be 2 hours from the VA Horse Center in Lexington, VA.
Lots of big shows there. You won't be too far some cities in TN and NC that may have shows. Other than that check the national...
Having a rare breed, the stallions popularity would be last on my list and undesireable in fact. I try to achieve diversity in the bloodlines and most mare owners would flock to one popular...
A Lipizzan must be purebred Lipizzan and there is only one international standard for that. I can use any countries mare that has an internationally accepted pedigree. Beyond that I look to...

K~2 very cute foal! My mare is at 342 and seems in no hurry. She is normally 332-337 but not this year. This is my only QH mare in foal to a reining stallion. She is at the vet's so I can sleep.
I tried that site just now. It's very slow. I entered a breed (Lipizzan) in the search box and got no responses. I entered broad search criteria for horses up through TL 14h-16h and got a handful,...
1) Field boots, black, size 9 1/2 XW calf, used a couple times - leather uppers, manmade soles.
2) Miller's black show coat size 14R, lightly used.
How about a black Lipizzaner? See below and also on the web site's left menu Penny's Shadow, a movie in which he starred, and Apassionata, a traveling show in which he performed. I have excellent....
Don't the BWP stallions have to submit xrays to keep their approval?
