Yeah, sorry! The schedule was kind of crazy...dressage was getting far behind. I kept scanning the horses looking for you guys. Glad to hear River was good though! :)

Just a small update after Chestnut Ridge CT. Bailey was fantastic. We got 4th in Beginner Novice. His dressage test was the most focused it's ever been, so proud of him. He was great stadium, had a...

My coming 3y/o pony (will be 3 late spring/early summer) grooms, loads/trailers, saddles, stands on cross ties, leads, and has the basic concept of lunging down. Old owners say somebody's sat on him...
-
I have my large pony in the Saxon 1200D 220gram Blanket, and it drops below his belly, and the 2 sides could almost touch if I made them....keeps him covered well. For being a cheap blanket, it's...

I was feeding dinner at my friend's barn one night, and all the horses got soaked Beet Pulp with their feed (Safechoice). Her mare started choking within minutes. Beet Pulp and grain were coming out...

I have my 2 1/2 year old on a Vit. E & Selenium supplement, but only because our area is deficient in Selenium (no grass during the long winter) and he came to me very underweight/covered in rain...

Wow, just saw this ad on one of our local CL....that is a loud colored mare, the chances of finding one looking just like her for cheap, with the height/age/price/temperment requirements are slim to...

Oil. Rice Bran. Beet Pulp.
Have used all 3 in the past. I'd say oil worked the best for me. I've also used Beet Pulp and Oil in the winter before, and it was manageable. Rice Bran worked to an...

Honestly, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Did the prospective buyer not ride or even see the horse before trial? I would think one would noticed the "thickened throatlatch", as well...

Yeah, I bought my Schneider's blankets a few years ago, back before they started having problems. I'm glad I did, because mine look brand new...no tears, broken hardware, still very waterproof. Stays...

I was there from '04-'06 and don't recall any horses named Domino in the barn...sorry. :(
Adamo...oh god. That business class was torture. All the tests were essay questions, lol. I HATED essay...

I've always loved ponies! I'm 5'4 3/4" and 125lbs, and just bought a 14.1 3y/o Quarter Horse mutt gelding who shouldn't grow much more.. :D
I can't wait to back him this spring. :)

I've always used Vetrolin Linament, and have had good results.

Call me crazy and the odd one out, but I despise Rambo/Rhino and will never ever buy one. The ones I've dealt with were crap, and I've dealt with a LOT of them over the years at many barns I've...

I know you said he only wears Rambos/Rhino's, but maybe look for a blanket with leg straps? Also, a lot of blankets come with snaps in the front instead of buckle straps (Dover Northwind is an...

I lived over a barn for almost a year. Honestly, I didn't hear any noises from the barn below, nor were there any barn smells (except for my roomate's & I barn clothes, lol). Flies were never an...

That was just awesome!

Hi Amy!!!!!!! Hehe, Vinnie says hello too! :D
Yeah, I graduated from Caz in '06 too....good luck with Capstone, Adamo's class (haha) and Sr. year in general....be prepared for little sleep and...

Lots of things to look at:
1. Change in turnout? New herdmates?
2. What's his diet consisting of? Made any changes recently?
3. Teeth checked?
4. Saddle fit?
5. Has the vet checked his eyes...

Hahahaa, I love Mister Ed....that was awesome. :D

LOVE my Muck Brand Boots. I have the kind that comes right below the knee (the High cut), and have had them for many, many years now (think I got them back in '02?).
They just now are starting to...

I've had the Dover one for a few years now. It's not the heaviest weight, but has held up great over the years. Stitching is all in tact, and once washed, looks brand new.
-
Not sure on cost, as I never had PPE done on my 2 horses, but I'd recommend Genesee Valley Equine Clinic (esp. Dr. Boatwright).....only vets I trust.
-
LOVE my Carhartts! Actually, just got in from spending all morning at the barn doing chores in temps in the teens/single digits wearing my heavyweight lined black Cahartt overalls.
They keep me...

My horse stopped the SmartPak's a couple of weeks ago (now order larger jars instead)....but I never noticed them hard to open. Mine opened just fine.
