On the VW I feel so silly.
The 2" and 3" is for the 5 yard roll.
I thought something was strange there.
The VW I usually buy - "individuals?" are 4".
Thanks. I assume I have always bought 3" VW.
The "no bow" has kind of stumped me.
So - they are not lace up bandages tied off with a bow........
They surely are not to help prevent...
I need to buy some bandages from Jeffers.
My horse scraped his leg - and barn folks wrapped him with leftover supplies from another horse. Supplies from the vet.
I need to replace them - and...
I'm having a case of the "what ifs".
If there had been eight horses in the race.
Take out three horses. Three with the longest odds - from my quick research.
How many horses were in the Belmont the last few times we had a TC winner?
Looking at the Matterhorn/Chrome photo - am trying to figure out what phase of the canter/gallop Chrome was in.
Is there a phase when all four hooves are on the ground/close to ground level?...
I take it back. I don't think Coburn is a jerk.
Except for the "cowards" remark - he said some things that most people have thought for years. Horse people and the general public.
I am disappointed for the horse.
Coburn is a jerk - but I kinda agree with him.
I am always so disappointed when a TC is lost to a horse that did not run the other races.
This year seems...
Laura - I subsequently found out that my excellent insurance covers Bicillin-LA at 100% under my medical benefits. I inject myself.
I will lose that insurance in a few months and will be on...
Bluey - I would sooner give myself feedstore antibiotics than I would my animals. And I guess that is one thing that I am a bit concerned about.
My Lyme meds are Doxy, Zith and Bicillin-LA (PenG...
Totally lost here. Is this all a "done deal?
Is this only in ref. to medicated feed? And/or applies to - for example - injectable Penicillin that we can currently buy at a feed store or...
The thing is - I highly doubt the mare got any of my horses alfalfa pellets.
He is the only horse at the barn that gets them - the others are on the tan colored pellets. All fed separately.
Thanks. Have ordered the meds.
Question: Curious about something. Before the mare was seen by the vet - I inspected what was coming out of her nose and dripping on the ground. Some of...
Well I never never never want to inject Banamine IM.
When the mare choked and was given Banamine IM I realized I needed to be prepared - have other options in the event (knock wood) of choke.
Thanks. I guess I never injected Banamine because I don't think I ever injected 10cc of anything IM. That seems like an awful lot of fluid to inject.
I infuse myself with 1g/10cc...
A mare at the barn choked recently. It did not resolve on its own. Vet out. Tubed and left antibiotics against possible pneumonia.
I have read some posts here. Seems like folks like to use...
I googled the name of the breeder.
Sad story. Apparently she died in 2009 and her family was placing her beloved horses.
Poor mare. Waiting for update.
Not that it matters now, but would be nice to be able to read her papers.
Can anyone do a screen shot, rotate and post it here?
Wonder how old she is.
Yes has been happening to me. Will try FF's advice.
If that does not work and I cannot get back on - is there something going on with the BB that our safety software is picking up on? Anyone...
Not the same thing, but my computer security Trendmicro has been warning me since yesterday that this site is not safe. Weird. A few times signing on - like now - the warning did not appear.
I may have fallen off the planet, but IIRC humans are not being cloned and issued SSN's. Thinking of cloning humans gives me the creeps.
So cloning is "not cool" for humans but it's OK for...
Thanks all help.
Researching I found this:
At the end under Dosages - a mention that some (I guess just a few) horses and ponies...
Thanks. I am thinking either no Perg for now - or try again to see dose he can tolerate. As PB said either .25 or .50 mg. Are those doses too low to be helpful?
I started him slowly in...
Thanks BR. He is 26.
I am leaning towards not putting him back on Perg.
I am trying to remember what I have read about founder risks.
Cushings vs IR. The risk is higher for IR than PPID?...
Thanks. DT yes would like to know about your friend's horse and Perg.
Again recent results - non fasting - mid morning draw:
