    I do believe dental xrays can be taken with a normal machine if they have the right dental plates for it. It is a bit difficult but not impossible...if they know how to do it.

    Dental specific radiographs should be taken before every dental. A lot of problems dogs get are below the gum line and a tooth may appear normal when in reality it is starting to abscess or die....
