There is a St. Nick mare that shows in the Adults in Ontario. She qualified for the Royal this year and I think she is only about 6. On the smaller side, but seemed attractive and jumped well.
There was an interesting thread awhile back that discussed "reasonable offers". I believe the consensus was that 10-15% off the asking price was considered reasonable. That said, I have offered, and...
Wow! I am sorry to hear you guys have had or heard of such bad experiences!
I actually prefer frozen now, because it is always available when you need it. I find if you have to order the day...
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss.
Oh how upsetting! Sorry for your loss. :( I know how heartbreaking these things can be. I am glad to hear Chelsea is doing ok though.
Jingles for you and yours! Hope the next update is a better one.
We absolutely DO NOT do ANY mares other than our own. Way too much risk.
So sorry for your loss. :( I had a young one of mine lost to colic with his new owner a couple months after we sold him. Very sad for all involved.
I would agree there are some very real risks involved. I should mention that both of us are vet students, and I am also a registered vet tech, so we have had a lot of veterinary training before...
We do our own ultrasounding. I have a great vet who helped me learn the basics, and she is always available when questions or abnormalities come up. It was daunting at first, but I felt very...
Jingles jingles jingles!
He is gorgeous! Congrats on a very impressive line up!
I did not know much about Cielo B before the test, and I was really pleasantly surprised by him. Lovely boy! One to add to the list for sure.
We will be breeding to Escapade I. I know he didn't...
I third this. My 2010 picks are long completed. I miss out on the auctions every year because I have already purchased everything I need by then.
I saw that, just wondering how they use the test scores towards the approvals.
I see that AHS for example, requires a score of greater than 90 in the 70 day test.
Is there a certain score required to be considered a "pass"? Or does each registry have a specific cut-off?
Huge congrats to Shakespeare and Cielo B. Both these boys were just lovely!
Yipes! That could have gone badly!
Wish I could hear the scores. :( But great to see and hear tidbits even...
Another big thanks to Silver Creek! The feed is awesome today! A great opportunity for everyone to follow along.
I very much agree that Cielo was quite impressive.
Escapade looks like a good boy.
Cielo B looks great!
I didn't think they were doing live feed of the CC - but not 100% sure.
Anyone know when the final scores will be announced?
Yes this is Fhitzgerald.
