Can string halt be the result of an injury? If so, what type of injury would cause string halt?
Is string halt better with work? What type of exercises would help?
I am thinking I may be dealing with a mild case of string halt (doesnt look anything like the bad cases I see on youtube) that has been thought to be stifle issues, either upware fixation or bone spur.
If string halt is the result of an injury, can Vit E supplement help?
Is string halt genetic?
String halt can be genetic, in which case there is no cure.
It can also be the result of eating something like false dandelion, in which case the cure is to remove the source and feed additional Mg.
It can also be a symptom of EPSM, in which case you might "cure" it with a good EPSM diet, but you might only manage it.
String halt really isn't anything like UFP. Has you vet looked at the horse?
Oh yes, many times. Just a clue from a previous owner has me curious.
