I couldn't stick it out with that music. And I'm a DQ. I suppose I could have muted it, but that music grated on my ears. the first half I watched was nice. Beautiful pair.
I really enjoyed the music! (The walk part was just a tad cheesy and I would have prefer it stays in the rock type of music)
Nice kür! The last part, all the canter, tempis and last piaffe were amazing! :)
Actually the part that grated was the passage/trot music. It grated like bad, early 70s club music...that triad that started higher and went lower duh duh dum...
The canter part was better.
I ended up re-watching it with the volume as low as it goes in that part, then turnit it up, because the pair are lovely together. Love that horse.
I didn't see them all, but I really liked Steffen Peters' music.
This was a really good kür, though. Good pair.
I recognize the music...it's from the Broadway musical version of The Who's Tommy. I saw that play back in the 90's....
I loved the ride and the music  That someone found it grating just shows how very subjective this is. I think that happens when dressage intersects with art. I'm sure we all have wildly different tastes in music, visual arts, dance, books, movies ;)
Fun!
Though I did love Steffen's music...I've been wanting to do a U2 freestyle forever, and his canter music was an orchestration of U2's "Bad" (one of my favorite rock songs ever).
I thought the music was really well matched- enjoyable. And that ride made it all look so smooth and easy. Wow!
Lovely rides, both of them I found Legolas piaffe and passage especially good.
LOVED the music!! And the horse/rider of course! WOW!!
I need to go dust off my Tommy album. I am not a fan of 'jazzed' up music, but I do feel that it fit the horses movements down to a 'T'. I did not see Peters ride, I will have to go and look it up to compare.
I thought it was just beautiful, second only to blue hors matinee!
