Posting for a friend...how to find a shipper on I-5....
She knows of a mare she wants who is in Olympia, WA and is doing some sort of deal where her gelding is going north and the mare is coming back or vice versa. Neither one of us has not a clue how hiring a shipper for a horse is done but said I'd ask here. I know her gelding has manners and will haul just fine and it sounds like the mare will haul fine also.
Just in case there isn't a spot in someone going that way (check the other board for my post) what do you do to start the ball rolling?? Is there a website of horse haulers on I-5 she could check out?? Should she check out their credentials or does a recognized hauler have to have everything in order to charge for shipping, so she doesn't have to check herself?? (Did that make sense??)
Whatever info you give me, I'll pass along to her, I've no dog in the hunt, just trying to help her out.
