Elevation changes when traveling to a show
I have recently qualified to compete in the USEF/USDF Dressage Seat Medal Final in Colorado. I have a huge concern over the elevation change from the 636 ft that my horse lives at and the 7,522 ft that the competition will be held at. Time is a big issue when I compete as I am a Jr/Yr and therefore still require assistance from my amazing show mom who also works a full time job. How much time would be required to allow my horse and myself to adjust to the elevation change in order to show at peak performance level? Is there anything I can do to shorten the time it takes for both of us to adjust?
