OK... that's awesome but he's not an Arabian/WB cross, he's an AA. All good but not sure about the point. Good info for those producing Anglos. Thanks for sharing.

I also did always like Fyre One. Not surprised that the cross worked since I think Polish and Crabbet work well with warmbloods due to their strong conformation and good movment.

Uri is not undersaddle yet, he will be three in April! I plan on taking him to the YHS Finals in January, then he will get to relax a bit until I send him away for some light training :) I am a big big fan of UB40. I would do this exact cross again in a heartbeat...now if I only won the powerball last night....

Thanks, I have always had a fantasy to breed her to Diamond Hit for an F3, but it isn't feasible given the economy. :(

I was digging through old files on the computer last night trying to find photos for the slide show at our barn Christmas party, and I ran across some photos from past years - including one of her in the double that I had totally forgotten about. We'll see if I can get these attached.

I had a SF/Arab cross and she was INCREDIBLE. She was smart, talented, versatile and of course, completely gorgeous. I would buy a similar cross again in a heart beat.

Yes - the Hannoverian Verband and is approved for their Jumper breeding program..

I guess someone could, but its not why I started this thread. I wanted to see WB's with Arabian blood. I also wanted to see how many breeders of the Arabian/WB cross go thru WB registries for their foals. I've seen how thread go off onto other unrelated things and I just want to keep this on track. I hope you understand. Thanks

He's a super horse, I have a friend that wants to breed her AA mare to him.

What is it about Diamond Hit that calls out to you - vs any of the stallions currently standing in the US?

I was thinking of using frozen semen myself after GOV inspector suggested Romancier for my black Grandom daughter, but have had mixed results with frozen and would as soon skip it when dealing with a maiden mare. Am currently looking at Rubignon for her.

Haha no...the mare that was posted is my boy's dam :) You had it right. I was also just mentioning that I have a purebred Crabbet/Polish mare as my second horse!

Thanks again. She may not be the most uber-talented dressage horse of all time, but she has more try in her than any other horse I know. Her work ethic is fantastic - she comes out every day ready to do her best, and she never says "no" under saddle (well, sometimes if she hasn't jumped in a while, she will be hesitant at first about jumping, but once she gets in the groove, she is pretty fancy about it). She loves the mental aspect of doing hard stuff and is always willing to give something the old college try. We can sometimes see her just thinking, "Are you sure? Well, okay, this is kind of weird but if that's what you want..." And then once she learns something, she is all gung-ho to show it off - sometimes all you have to do is think about something and she will do it. And she is quick about it, so you better be ready! :lol:

My mare is a bit weak behind - along with her Arabian intelligence, eagerness to please, refinement, and high energy, she got the Arabian hind end - a bit level in the croup, and she could have a better loin connection. I think DH could help her in the hindquarters and particularly with the loin, plus I have always loved him - used to see him pretty regularly at Schockemoehle's before he was sold to Emma Hindle. And, as I posted elsewhere, what is not to like? He is a proven GP stallion, he comes from 3 straight generations of GP stallions, and he is a proven sire of GP horses. Downside of using DH is it would be a line-breeding on Pik Bube I and II, which I am not sure is a good thing (although both would be 4 generations back in the foal). Also, since DH has a bit of firecracker blood in him, I might end up with a firecracker foal. But if the foal has a better hind end and loin then my mare, but also has my mare's work ethic and eagerness to please, it could be a super dressage horse. :D
