Such a lovely girl. :D
Updated video! She's been here for six weeks and is pretty much one of the easiest OTTBs ever. She is very straight and balanced, and has a lot of try! She's hacking out alone and with other horses, and jumping little things in the field.

Glad you stayed!
She has a ton of class!!! Love her!
Jess has been home for 90 days now and today she went to her first show!
We took her to the Rocking Horse schooling show for the tadpole combined test.
Jess initially found the show to be VERY exciting. It took her about an hour to settle down and decide that she was ready to work, but by the time went into the ring, she was back to being mostly focused on her job.
Show jumping warm up was also a VERY exciting and stimulating place. She ended up trotting the whole course because there were jut so many new and interesting things to look at - But she jumped around honestly (knocking one down as she stared at something that was NOT the jump)
She got to hang out at the show jumping ring side for about an hour after her ride so she could practice "chilling out" and will likely be going to Ocala next weekend to hang out and take in the show atmosphere.....
She was 3rd after dressage but the rail dropped her to 5th place. Overall I'm really happy with how she did, although I think she'll definitely be spending more time hanging out at shows to figure out that it's NOT the same as the races.

Whooooo you weren't lying sister when you said the show jumping ring was an exciting place to be!
But what a goooooooood green horse she was if that's what you have when she's overwhelmed! That is not a bad job for her first show!
I had to giggle at the very first jump....she was so NOT paying attention and then suddenly saw it, went "Oh goodness!" and put a good effort in! You already know this of course, but bigger fences are not going to be an issue, that's for sure!
The dressage was lovely, too!
