My friends and I were debating going next week or weekend. We almost went today but went wine-tasting in Jordan instead, and to Greenhawk. (; Any recommendations for awesome things to see and do there?
here is some of the program

Wednesday night is the Hickstead FEI World Cup
Last year, we went on Wednesday and bought our show tickets at the door. We saw Eric L., the tribute to Hickstead. It was very emotional.
There is always a ton of shopping and during the week, the afternoon shows are free. The Big Ben Challenge is probably sold out by now.
I usually get the online subscription (which is cheaper again this year!) and watch the shows when I have time.
I love walking in the barns too.
I'm going with all my friends tomorrow, so excited! LOVE the food, the shopping is awesome, and it's so fun to walk around and see all the animals (and farmers ;) lol)
The Royal is such a nice show. I don't plan to go this year, but I've really enjoyed it in the past. It's fun.
Except for that ramp up to the stalls. That's not as much fun, especially if you're in a hurry.
When is the Canadian Derby?????
Hunter Derby night is Tuesday - I'll be there! I'm also helping at the Greenhawk booth a bit, and watching the second Saturday afternoon show (I think it's the Canine Equine Challenge).
I will be there on Sunday the 11th for the first time. I have never been before. My yearling filly is in the Sport Pony Star Search challenge.
Indoor eventing tonight and second phase of the show jumping later..
Hope everyone has heard about the Canadian Passport to Style.
If you haven't, you get a passport (online or at a booth), get all 5 stamps from Ogilvy, De La Coeur, Cheval Fashions, Black Knight and Hansen and you are entered to win 1 of 3 prize baskets.
Ogilvy halfpad and baby pads, De La Coeur bonnets, Cheval shirt and belts, Black Knight show clutchs and Hansen Helmet bags, saddle covers.
If you can't make it to the Royal, you can still win a prize basket by participating in the GetMyFix.org contest!! Just share the contest online and comment on Carley's blog what you did.

Ok I have done my job sharing the contest, now your turn to enter to win lol
We saw this on saturday. We had a fantastic time saturday night. Our sons spent the day with some girls they know at the fair and hubby and I had a date night - with dinner at the hitching post.
We knew many of the indoor eventing participants including a couple of the boys coaches - so it was fun cheering them on. In fact 5 of the indoor eventing competitors live near us.
....so what was running around the ring during hunter night (Mon night), a groundhog??
The half welsh and the 2 pure welsh (12.2h and under and 12.2h and over) under saddle classes go this thursday around 5ish in the breed ring. It will not be online as only the classes in the coliseum go online. The line classes for the pure welsh start Friday morning (I cant remember if its a 8 or 9am start) and the half welsh classes are right after the pure welsh classes. There will be no live feed for any of the Welsh classes except for the driving classes since those are held in the coliseum.
The Jolera international Jumper Welcome is coming up..
