Antares Breastplate
Ok so I'm looking at buying an Antares breastplate but I can only find one site that has the one I'm looking for. I was hoping someone on here may know of other places I can find it. Heres a link to the one Im looking for, not the common elastic one.....

I don't believe they make that one anymore. I have one in cob though :)
-
I was afraid of hearing that! You wanna pass yours along by chance, I could provide it with a very good home :D
-
But it is so beautiful and buttery soft! It's only been used once and has been oiled. I don't think I could part with it...even though it appears my horse won't be needing one anytime soon. I found mine on ebay.

Get in touch with a rep. They might be able to help you out?

A friend's daughter just bought the leather one at HITS Saugerties this summer. I can't open your link so I'm not sure if it is the same as the one you want.
Definitely contact Antares customer service or a rep. Their website shows both leather and elastic breastplates as being available. And nothing is nicer than Antares leather.

I just bought this one in March of this year - Greenhawk had to order it direct from Antares, I waited a couple of weeks for it.
(mine is probably for sale end of October when we lease a new horse.,,, just saying!) :)

My friend got hers from an Antares dealer a month or so ago. They have plenty. They usually come with a running attachment. Fear not! They are still out there. However they are pricey, perhaps that is why you are having difficulty finding them.

I have one thats only been used a few times...and I don't like how it fits my little mare :( It's just a bit too big to look good. lol
Yes to contacting the Antares rep. Or keep looking on Ebay!

Any thoughts on how this fits? And adjustability?
My mare is a tall WB but a bit narrow, so I'm thinking large horse may be too big.
If anybody is selling a used one, I'd be happy to buy it!

I'm also looking for one of these in horse size!
-
There are three for sale on Ebay right now. Not sure if they are the style you want, but it may be worth a look.

You will probably want a 2 or even a 1; definitely not a 3. I have four of their breastplates, including the one the OP is looking for and they're all designed for broad shouldered horses. My eq horse is 17.3 and 1800 lbs and broad as the day is long and the 3 is still a tad big for him; I have it on the smallest settings! But they are all gorgeous and have held up beautifully through very hard use!

Thanks! I ordered a 2, checking the mail daily now... :D
