I'm unbelievably excited - a friend and I are going in on this guy as a project for the winter.

He looks EXTREMELY straight behind... see how his hind leg is nearly vertical and how much stress is on the hind pastern, especially when he is resting one hind leg? I would be very, very wary of a horse with this type of conformation.

Fingers crossed for a positive ppe!!!
re: conformation - I am so often amazed at how different a horse can look from one pic to another, and of course in the flesh. He has a lovely eye and sounds like a sweetheart. Hope you guys have a great time together! Good luck!!!
Good luck!!!!!
Thanks all!
And leahandpie, thanks for your critique, but unfortunately, those pictures really don't do him justice - I realize how awkward he looks in the first one! Wish I could link his video here :)
Thanks clivers! Completely agree :)
That horse is GORGEOUS. Good luck.
GOOD LUCK ~ Jingles & AO ~
Good luck! I agree that photos can make a horse look better or worse. Heck, we've ALL had a picture taken that made us look HORRIBLE right? If he looks nice in person then go for it! Let us know how it goes.
 He was great in the vet check, just one little issue, but not big enough for us to say no - so excited to bring him home on Friday!
Great news! Glad it went well.
Congrats!! Another happy OTTB going to a good home :)
And FTR, he wasn't standing even on all fours in any of those pictures so I'm sure it didn't do his leg angles justice. Super handsome guy.
Lots of updates please!
Thanks all! Definitely will have lots of updates :)
ACME - you're from North Carolina? I'm here for school, and that's where he's shipping to tomorrow! PM me what area - I'd love to pick your brain about good trainers/schooling shows/clinics nearby since I'm new to showing in NC
Lovely horse- congratulations!
It makes me very happy to see this many OTTBs finding good homes at the end of the racing season!
