They lost me after "fussy filly". Lol it's hard to take anyone seriously after so much alliteration.
I hope someone will be able to contact that anchor and tell him that Rafalca is NOT necessary to Mrs. Romney's well-being. The idea that anyone needs a Grand Prix dressage horse in order to enjoy therapeutic or any other riding is just plain ludicrous I realize that this reporter is not a horseman (that's obvious by his question about whether or not the Democrats are hurting themselves by making jokes about a horse that is "necessary" to Anne's well-being). I hope that someone will be able to tell him about PATH and introduce him to the realities of therapeutic horsemanship.
Honestly. Can you see therapeutic riding centers paying $77,000 a year to maintain one of their horses?
And it's not like Obama is exactly living in the poor house...
The article from TIME referenced in this article is much better. Why Romney should NOT be distancing himself from Dressage.

You know, give it up. We've been over and over and over this. Hunter, my friend, just HOPE you are right. What a nightmare if the nutcase right takes over and starts directing the delusional, lying Romney--do you like hearing that over and over and over? If Romney gets in, it WILL be the poorhouse for everyone but the superrich. Enough. Keep the racist, snotty remarks for OT day.
And, Wellspotted was right. Owning a GP horse trained by someone else is not necessary to anyone's wellbeing or health. WHO CARES?
ALL of this publicity is GREAT for dressage. Enough said. Anyone who actually rides it is thrilled that anyone knows the word. Who CARES if they make fun of it? Jeese. I know I am SO looking forward to seeing how ridiculous Colbert makes it look next week.
We've recently had a Harvard MBA president who was a disaster. Do you think another one who is also a conspicuous consumer will be any better?
I put owning a dressage horse in the Olympics as seriously conspicuous consumption.
I'm already in the poorhouse, so why would I want Romney who will not help with healthcare, is stridently pro-life, offends people left and right with his obtuse comments, and may just increase the tax burden on the working poor and middle classes. If you are rich, can afford healthcare, are pro-life, and don't care that he offends even our best of allies (GB), then vote for him. People have to vote for who represents them best.
