Yes. It is ineligible. It has already shown over 2'9" at a recognized show.
HU104 GREEN STATUS – PONY HUNTER.
1. A green pony is a pony not exceeding 14.2 hands of any age, in its first year of showing in any classes that require ponies to jump the regulation height or higher for its respective section (2’3” for small, 2’6” for medium, 2’9” for large) at a Regular Competition of the Federation or Equine Canada or any national or international competition. I have a large pony that has a state Hunter/Jumper Association measurement card. He has competed at "C" shows in the large pony division at 2'9". He has never jumped higher than 2'9" at any show and has never shown under a USEF#.
When we take him to his first "A/AA" show, have him measuured by a USEF steward, and register him for a USEF #, is he green eligible?
Yes. It doesn't,matter what the pony has done at the local or state level.
