This fabulous ride takes place near Melton
mowbray in Leicestershire.
The cream of the Shires Hunts compete in this ride.Which is organised by The Melton Hunt Club.
The location is at Waltham on the Wolds,just outside of Melton Mobray.

Lovely galloping country. I've only read about it and seen it per video, never in person. What fun it would be to ride there.
Of course, I would be cantering instead of galloping full tilt, but still, it looks like wonderful riding!
Funny , I was trying to achieve sleep last night by re-reading Apperley's "Life of a Sportsman" in which Melton Mowbray is the holiest of holies... I love my old hunting books, but Nimrod is capable of sending me off to sleep...
