Where can I find a very small manure fork?
Yesterday a friend delivered the most fuzzy, tiny, miniature gelding to us. He is on loan to us to keep our older gelding company for the next few months until we find another stable mate. This morning I went out on my daily ritual of stall/paddock cleaning and discovered that those cute TINY piles of poop fall right through my manure fork and I'm a neat freak. I perused the local feed store and hardware stores this morning to no avail, all standard sized forks. I may end up using a tiny rake and shovel but when its muddy that's going to be messy so was hoping find a mini-sized fork......does any company make those?
BTW I'm totally smitten with "Pumpkin" who is the tiniest little sorrel gelding with a bad haircut. My friend had him at her mom's place for a few months and her elderly mom decided to clean him up a bit for us and gave him a bowl haircut on his bangs and tail. My own mother nearly died when she saw it and now wants to have her hand at "cleaning up the mess":)
I swore I wouldn't have a mini until I was old and could no longer ride but I've got to say I could really see myself being easily converted over to these little guys and driving, been researching it for the past month. My pocketbook certainly likes the tiny amount of hay he eats too!
for with close-spaced tines
I just saw this fork designed for sawdust, rice hulls and the like. The tines are spaced closer than the normal 5/8".
The mfr also says the tines bend but don't break, a nice added feature.
